Remove
1 Remove diaphragm cylinder Remove/install diaphragm cylinder AR42.10-W-0800B
2 Remove brake carrier AR42.10-W-0500H
3 Detach thrust ring (12) from steering knuckle AR33.25-W-0400-09AW

4 Unscrew nut fastening drag link on steering Only on driver's side.
arm (2) and screw on again by hand

Screw on the nut as far as the safety collar.

This prevents the thread of the ball joint on the
drag link being damaged during removal.
Counterhold the ball joint with an Allen
wrench if necessary.
5 Pry drag link off steering arm (2) Only on driver's side.
The drag link springs off suddenly.

6 Unscrew nut and detach drag link from Only on driver's side.

7 Unscrew nut fastening tie rod on steering
knuckle arm (17) and screw on again by hand Screw on the nut as far as the safety collar.
This prevents the thread of the ball joint on the
tie rod being damaged during removal.
Counterhold the ball joint with an Allen
wrench if necessary.
8 Pry tie rod off steering knuckle arm (17) The tie rod detaches suddenly.

9 Unscrew nut and detach tie rod from steering
knuckle arm (17)
10 Remove steering arm (2) Only on driver's side.
11 Remove steering knuckle arm (17)
12 Remove both retaining rings (7, 15)
13 Remove both caps (8, 14)
14 Remove kingpin (10) with steering knuckle bolt press.
The upper needle bearings (6) are pressed out
together with the kingpin (10).
15 Remove steering knuckle (11)
16.1 Remove shim (5) and taper roller thrust On passenger side.

18 Remove both needle bearings (16) from Drift *739589011500

19 Install both needle bearings (16) at bottom of AR33.25-W-0400-03A

32 Lubricate steering knuckle bearing The steering knuckle bearing must be
lubricated within an hour of installing the
kingpin (10).
