Leadership is one of the most necessary function of management. When it comes
to action, it helps to think of leaders as team builders, the decision makers, the negotiators, the head and such. Leaders have a vision and a plan to achieve the vision, for it to materialize. As we know leading involves directing, influencing and motivating, so we can simply say that leadership in action examines the behaviors of leaders who lead effectively, leaders who act as a guide, influencer, and direct others to perform a specific or particular task in hand.
2. What kind of a leader will you be?
Based on my own past experiences I think I'm more likely to become a
democratic leader. Because I usually seek my group mates opinions first before concluding on a final decision. I'm more likely to ask "How about you? What do you think?" or "Anything you can say about this?". Its very helpful actually because we can somehow build our trust and promote team spirit aside from having a solid cooperation from the team. It also provides us with more ideas and creativity which can greatly help us accomplish the task on hand. Showing and sharing our own insights also greatly help us develop ourselves and be better. Though sometimes making a decision is slower especially when everyone has different ideas and thoughts still the numerous benefits it can provide will always prevail for me.
