Job Description 1 - SMT – Opportunity management

HCL is seeking for bright and enthusiastic individuals (ideally with 2-3 years of pre-
MBA work experience) from leading B-schools to strengthen the Financial Services
(Capital Markets, Banking and Insurance) practice. At HCL you would be working with a
team of highly motivated, energetic professionals involved in managing business in the
Financial Services arena. The career growth of selected candidates will include but not
limited to strategic Sales & Account Management, Solution structuring, Domain
evangelization, Strategy formulation etc. leading to Senior Leadership at HCL.

The successful candidate will have:

 Strong business orientation to corroborate strategic requirements with propositions
 A holistic Thought Leader's perspective accounting for all factors and stakeholders
while also fostering fresh ideas and propositions
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with superior analytical
orientation
 The ability to work independently and/or as a key member of a high-powered team
 Passion to work in a fast moving environment
 Willingness to travel
 Pre-MBA work experience in the FS domain will be an added advantage

Responsibilities include:
 Participation in large bid management through
o Orchestrating effective bid responses
o Financial and operational analysis of the prospect and competition leading to
apt positioning and addressing of prospect’s pain points
o Understanding the key drivers of the opportunity and recommending
innovation in engagement models, pricing models etc
o Liaising with multiple stakeholders to create a winning proposition
o Anchoring awareness and due diligence workshops
 Develop entry strategy for new accounts, products & services
 Develop strategic initiatives to capitalize on current trends and competency with
acute focus on FS domain
 Effective participation in business strategy formulation
 Work at onshore assessments, workshops, consulting assignments as part of a larger
team
