Spelling rules

Verbs that end in –e drop the –e and add –ing: have - having… come - coming

Verbs that end in –ie change the –ie for –y and add - ing:
die - dying… lie - lying

Monosyllable verbs that end in a vowel + a consonant, double the consonant and add –ing:
