It is a revolution in agriculture to connect with the information technology. This project
offers to develop an online cash marketplace platform. The main aim of the project is to
bring grower and buyer together at one platform. This will totally be a new system and
client of the Globex is connected through a single platform i.e. i-Crop. Both i-Crop
website and app will be developed to manage, buy and sell warehouse grains.

(Virtucon Consultancy, 2018)

Project Description

The project is to develop the new online cash marketplace platform-iCrop. i-Crop will
connect grower and buyer in a single platform through website and app. This new
system will keep record of the warehoused grain, buy and sell at a time. It will be easy
access and convenient. It is mobile-enable, user interface and a new revolution in the
area of the agriculture. The goal of the project is to provide better service to the client by
connecting growers and buyers. This will create an opportunity to the place where there
are less scope of market.

The features that project must include are:-

 Transactions
 Transactions types
 Seasonal sales on i-crop
 Information sources
 System use
 Connectivity
 Miscellaneous

Transactions

Offers

Offer means grower can set the price that they want their current season warehouse
grain to sell. The offer will be accepted by the buyers after immediately placed on the
market.

Bids

Bids means buyer can list price and item they want to purchase. Growers will view it
and sell their price according to their payment terms.

Preferred buyers

Growers can make buyers preference list with whom they are satisfied with payment
and preferred buyer will only see the offer that growers has placed.

include opening hour, location and contact details.

System use

How do clients use i-Crop?

Clients can use through any web browser and app. Apps are available on android,
iPhone and tablets.

Part 4
Reflection

Working in team has always been fun and exciting. There will always be positive and
negative part in all of the work. From the past project experience till now, this project
has been the knowledgeable project. Formation of the team members, brainstorming
and reaching to the conclusion in a peace environment is very important to accomplish
a project. I thought strategy is the key to success of the project which is completely
wrong. Having good leadership quality plays a vital role to determine the success or
failure of a project.

As a project manager of the project, I realized that having honesty and integrity to the
work and assigning right task to the right person is essential for team. Having a clear
communication with the team is the most effective way to identify issue and solving it
timely. Good leadership is giving people the opportunities to develop by mentoring,
guiding and leading them (Pirouz, 2015). Leadership is all about managing, motivating
and inspiring team to achieve a certain goal. Working as a project manager is a learning
experience and develop my capability to tackle obstacles issues during the project. All
the team members gave their effort to complete the project smoothly. It has been
wonderful experience to work and get knowledge on the project documenting, managing
team members, resolving conflicts, maintaining peace workplace and maintain healthy
relationship with team members.

As per my experience, leader must have the following qualities to lead a project
successfully.

 Ability to understand team member differences

 Prioritizing tasks according to the team member skills and knowledge
 Ability to communicate with people
 Supporting team throughout the project
 Managing the flow of day to day operations.
 Resolve conflict and problems positively
Project manager are those people who make effective plan, execute and
document the overall project. The techniques, skills, methods and ICT project
manager requires in IT profession are as follows:
 Maintain integrity with the team.
 Control and monitor overall project.
 Apply appropriate technical strategy and standard
 Reviewing project
 Apply quality management processes
 Managing Risk

Overall the experience of working in project has increased my level on

understanding roles and responsibilities of the project manager. As a manager, what
are the qualities that are require for the success of the project is determined.
Planning of the project, determining teams, review and documentation are the key
skills of project manager. In conclusion, this project has been a learning experience
which helped to enhance the skills required for the leadership.
