ABSTRACT

In our generation plastic waste are very dominant in the garbage area which

can cause pollution in air, water and even soil. It is also one of the reasons why global

warming occurs. Machines are needed to solve this problem or lessen the large

quantity of plastic waste and its effect in the environment and shredder is one of those

machines.

This shredder is composed of feeding unit, cutting unit, heating unit and

molding unit. If we shred and mold waste HDPE plastic, we can create another useful

thing such as solid bricks. This brick can be used as design in your house or even

pathways. Through this machine we can lessen the amount of plastic waste in the

garbage area at the same time we can create another product for useful purposes.
vi
This paper explores the effectiveness of the shredder. It contains the study of

shredding and molding of HDPE waste plastic. Construction of shredder with few

machine modifications is the main objectives of the study. This kind of machine could

contribute to the reduction of pollution and promoting a healthy and worry-free

environment even up to the next generation.
