Why you should upcycle
W ha t is upc y c lin g ?
Upcycling is describe by some
people as reusing material
without lowering the quality
and composition of the item for
its later use, but in reality
upcycling is “A process that
can be repeated in perpetuity
of returning materials back to a
pliable, usable form without
degradation to their latent
value (T. Caine, 2010)”.

Upcycling reduces the
amount of waste that we
as a high consuming
society produce.
Secondly, it also
reduces the need of
production of brand new
materials and stuff.
How do I upcycle?
Is extremely easy to upcycle,
the only thing you need is stuff
that u don’t use, like for
example a Mason jar that you
don’t particularly use, which
ultimately could be trasnformed
into a soap dispenser.
The materials that you need to
make a Mason Jar Soap
Dispenser:
 A mason jar with lid
 An old plastic soap
dispenser
 Some soap
 Glue
 Drill (optional)
 Box – cutting knife or
something sharp
 Sharpie or some other
marker
 Paint (optional)
