ACTIVITY NO. 5
BEHAVIORISM

1. Think of a teacher that’s most unforgettable to you in elementary or high school. Recall the
most exciting experience with that teacher. And from this experience what important
realization have you learned?

When I think back to my most memorable teacher, I immediately recall Mr. Untalan, my adviser
teacher during my elementary.
What I remember most about him is that he treated me (and everyone else in the class) with so
much respect. He showed so much love for her profession and so great an awareness of what
his role in the classroom was, that her attitude eventually rubbed off on me. he was everything I
could have asked for in a elementary teacher. I didn't know it then, but she also was a model
for my future.
Mr. Untalan had a tremendous affect on my life and on my career choice. He always
encouraged me to go to college and choose educational course. We met occasionally over the
next few years, and he always asked if I was going to go back to school.

I will never forget his reaction when I told him I had registered to go to PSU and become a
teacher. His face lit up, and I knew at that moment that I had made him proud of me. He told
me I was going to be a great teacher one day. Little did Mr. Untalan know that it was because of
him I had chosen a career in teaching. I wanted to be just like him -- except I wanted to teach
younger children.
