LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT 

WELCOME TO THIS ENGLISH LEVEL AND NRC.

 
GUIDELINES:

Covi-19 has forced our English Department to adopt online learning. For this reason, at the
beginning of this semester we will use the Chat called MEET to interact in our sessions. These
sessions will be recorded. As long as, the Moodle platform will be used to do all the workshops
according to the Units and lessons planned for this semester.

THE OBJECTIVE:
The general objective for this semester is to develop an awareness of the importance of the
English language as an international mean of communication. This language is used worldwide, so
we pretend you learn to use it in different aspects of your life and also in your professional career.

THE PURPOSE:
It is to have a productive class. Your active participation will be the success of this class.

SUGGESTIONS:

BEHAVIOR
1. You must be on time for virtual or on site classes or sessions. 
2. Do your best in every assignment and have confidence.
3. Take advantage of every opportunity you have to use your English in class. Your
participation will be graded. Let´s speak in ENGLISH in class!  NO SAPANISH! 
4. You must respect your classmates ‘opinions. Everyone can make mistakes, so don’t laugh
at other errors.
5. Do not bother your classmates. Everyone has the right to learn without interruptions.
6. Have all the necessary materials for every session.
7. Unless in an emergency, you will not be allowed to leave the classroom during the class.
8. The teacher and the students are allowed to use smart cell phones, laptops, tablets to have
interaction in class.. 
9. Do not use caps in class, you must show your respect for your peers and teachers. (on site)
10. Everyone is responsible for taking care the classroom furniture and its cleanliness. (on site)

GRADING POLICY

 You will be graded  from these factors:

 Class participation
 VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) assignments by MOODLE platform.
 Class and home  assignments
 Projects 
 Unit evaluations (Quizzes – Exams)
 First, second and third term evaluations

VALUES PRACTICE

“I can notice who you are by your behavior; our best school is at home”.  Remember the good
practice of positive values in order to determine good actions and positive attitudes for reaching
your goals. Be honest, punctual, patient, persistent so on. If you cheat to the teacher, think you
are cheating yourself. Good or bad actions only makes happy or sad to yourself, teacher only helps
you to improve in the personal and professional field. Teacher stays and helps others, you
continue, grow up and get better.

REMEMBER! Your activities must be delivered ON TIME, otherwise points will be

downgraded.
