his exceptional artistry, using various
techniques in printmaking. His artworks
themes of various social issues, from
land reform to labor matters to foreign
relations, most of which are recurring
subject matter throughout his body of
work. His concept about art should have
purpose and serves its purpose. His
exhibition Inukit na Pahayag in National
Museum – Ilocos Sur Branch presents
the social phenomena that we Filipino
are experiencing and it has social
relevant messages in relation to issues on agrarian problems, labor and other socio-political
issues. And it is something that I can say unique and amazing. The Inukit na Pahayag differ from
different exhibitions in the National Museum- Ilocos Sur Branch and other branches, the other
exhibitions is all about the people we consider as the “makasaysayan” or hero; and who has
contributions in our locality or country, and about our local cultural heritages, religious and
historical artifacts. His works are social realities and it shows the life of Filipinos in the hand of
the victors or the rulers. It shows that the people who is in the high position were taking
advantage on what they have and on the wealth of the people. And it shows that if you’re an
uneducated person they will manipulate and control you like a puppet or a robot. He’s works is
all about the OFW’s, Bagong Cristo sa Paggawa, The Spoils Belong to the Victors, Agraryang
Rebolusyon, Pagdalamhati, Sigaw, Dispossessed, and other social issues in our society.

His works reveals something terrible about humanity and these are the
philosophies that I derived form his works: “We are living in a selfish and hopeless world in
the hands of the greedy rulers.”, “The rulers are the investors and it’s people is the investment.
“, and “It’s not the people who is scary, it’s what people can do.”
