1. 5 Goals and 5 Objectives to develop the proper health education conducted in the
community.

*Assuming that the problem within community X is that there has been an alarming decrease
of percentage in the number of healthy people wherein we can assume the possibly in the
lack or absence of (“Proper” health education.)

GOALS:

 Determining the problem of the community with regards to why it needs a conduction
of a “proper” health education and be able to formulate a proper health education..
 Achieving the full participation “if not all then a least 80%” of the total population of
community X.
 Treatment of new cases or prevention of new cases “if there are any” in high rates of
diseases in the community. Let’s set an example. In cases of measles.
 Obtaining recent relevant information needed in formulating a proper health
education for community X
 To increase the health awareness of both children and their parents through raising
the health care and promoting the use of proper and or preventive health measures for
this target group.
 Continuation of the current or annually updated health education programs in the long
run.

OBJECTIVES:

 Within one year 80% of the mothers with infants between 9 months and one year will
have them vaccinated for measles at the health post/clinic
 90% of all mothers in the community having a child less than one year old, who
participated in the health education sessions during prenatal and postnatal checkups, will
correctly explain to at least one other mother why it is important to immunize children at
nine months..
 Within three months, the organizers will identify and teach at least 50% of the mothers of
malnourished children in the community how to prepare locally available foods to treat
their children.
 Within six months parents will be able to give proper preventive and or correctional
exercises to 70% of the children in the community under the age of 10 who have signs of
postural deviations.
 Within six weeks at least 80% of the community will receive information via flyers,
displays, and community health talks by health workers, about the need for a proper
health education programs and why it is advantageous in the long run if they avail to
these programs and apply what is being taught.
