Test III: Essay: for ten points each:

1. The Ten Commandments of God in order.
The Ten Commandments are a way of life for the human race. Ever since the ten
commandments were revealed no prophet, or any religious figure spoke against it. It
distinguishes what is right from what is sinful. Only God can define good moral behavior.
Man's laws have never created peace in the world.
Now here are the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20. Commandment number one
"You shall have no other gods before me." This means that God wants us to make him the
most important aspect of our lives. A "graven image" is something like an idol. Idols are
man-made statues that people used to worships God. Commandment number two: " You shall
not take the name of the lord your God in vain." When angry, people tend to curse using
God's name. Commandment number three: "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy." God
wanted us to set Sunday aside as a day of devotion and worship to him. Commandment
number four: " Honor your father and mother." Our relationship with our parents is the
foundation for our future relationship and choices. Commandment number five: " You shall
not murder. Because people are made in the image of God, life has value. Murder is an
intentional act that says that person life has no value compared to another’s priorities. "
Commandment number six: " You shall not commit adultery." Adultery includes dirty
thoughts, impure words, and lust. Commandment number seven: " You shall not steal." In a
time when might makes right, they were to respect each other’s property rights.
Commandment number eight: " You shall not lie." Living in a healthy community meant
respecting other’s boundaries. Lying devalues and disrespects another person by not telling
the truth. Commandments number nine: “thou shalt not covert thy neighbor’s wife” forbids
the intention desire and belonging for immoral sex with them. Commandment number ten: "
You shall not covet thy neighbor’s’ goods." Forbids the wanting to or taking someone else’s
property. This commandment condemns theft and feelings of envy, and jealousy in reaction
to what other people have.
These Commandments were written and revealed by God, to the people. Man's laws
cannot be followed by a large number of people like they have the Ten Commandments,
because man's laws are written at their interest and selfishness. By revealing the Ten
commandments God set his perfect standard of the human race.

2. Sonnet 116 of William Shakespeare

“Sonnet 116”, is one of the famous sonnets of William Shakespeare’s. The sonnet 116
describe the trials of true love faces, but also how no matter what, love is an ever-present
hope. Love is constantly being tested through outside forces, and time’s unavoidable
influence about it. Love that is not faded in time or vanished, because if it does, it means that
it was never true love. For love to work and be strong they must “admit impediments” as time
goes on, and circumstances occur. These impediments can be the breaking point for a couple,
or they can grow in confidence through them. “love that alters when its alteration finds” will
never have the strength to face life’s many obstacles together. These obstacles will include
attempts to bends love “with the remover to remove”, through things such as families and
distance. Love “that looks on tempests” will fall into the temptation of false love promises.
Along with people, time wants fully influence love. As long as “loves not time fool”, the love
has a chance at survival. Time is an ever-present clock that can usually wear down on a
relationship, even when love is “within his bending sickles compass come”, the test don’t end
as long as love grows, there will always be challenges influencing it, from the moment it
begins to the moment integrity starts. For lovers, love s an ever-present hope for the rest of
the world. “it is an ever-fixed mark”. Love “is the star” that gets us through the mess things
may feel like. The special feeling “worth’s unknown, though its height be taken” because no
one else can ever be truly understand two people devotion for each other. love also give “rosy
lips and cheeks” to the people it effects. Love shows life in one of the purest forms. Love will
“bear out, even to the edge of doom”, even to the last breath and beyond if it is true love. “if
these be error upon me prove I never writ nor no man ever love” the last paragraph tells the
true sense of being in love. The love that is true in all forms.

1. Essay

written from the author's personal point of view and describes, discusses and
analyzes a certain topic. Most of modern essays are written in the form of prose,
while essay writing in the form of verse is called dubbed essay. There are different
purposes and occasions for writing essays. There exist various types of essay writing:
definition essay, critical essay, personal essay, persuasive essay, research essay,

2. Short story
 A short story is a fully developed story which is shorter than a novel and longer than
a fable. It typically takes just a single sitting for reading. Short Story focuses on the
incidents bigger or smaller and evokes strong feelings from its readers. A short story

3. Drama
 Drama is a mode of fictional representation through dialogue and performance. It is
one of the literary genres, which is an imitation of some action. Drama is also a type
of a play written for theater, television, radio, and film.

In simple words, a drama is a composition in verse or prose presenting a story in

pantomime or dialogue. It contains conflict of characters, particularly the ones who
perform in front of audience on the stage. The person who writes drama for stage
directions is known as a “dramatist” or “playwright.”
4. Poetry

poetry is written to share ideas, express emotions, and create imagery. Poets choose
words for their meaning and acoustics, arranging them to create a tempo known as
the meter. Some poems incorporate rhyme schemes, with two or more lines that end
in like-sounding words
Test II: Discuss your answer for ten (10) points each:
1. What is the “Parable of Talents” all about?

The parable of talents is all about the servant and master, the master gave a considerable
amount of money to each servant, in keeping with the servant’s abilities. The first two
servants were faithful to care for their master’s money. They were rewarded accordingly. The
third servant lacked faith and the master saw this as worthlessness. He lost what he had and
was punished.
From the passage above, we conclude that God gives talents to every person. These talents
vary from person to person. However, we have to give account of these gifts to their owner.
Since Jesus was referring to the Kingdom of God in the parable, we learn that our lives are
not ours to live according to our wishes. As servants of Christ, we are called to be productive.
All of our health, money, time, and abilities have come from Him, and we are tasked with
putting them to use to benefit the kingdom. We owe our lives and wealth to God! As
Christians, we are waiting for the return of Jesus Christ to earth. We are like those stewards,
faithfully using our Master’s assets while waiting for His return, and then it will be too late.
It's not enough to say, "I didn’t waste what you gave me, Lord." We want to demonstrate how
we have used the gifts and abilities we have been given to benefit the kingdom. God desires
that we be risk takers who share His commitment. That's how we'll enter into the happiness of
the Master.

The two servants that used their talents wisely received similar greetings but not rewards. For
their faithfulness, they were both commended. I believe this is the highpoint of the parable. It
separated those that used their talents wisely, irrespective of the profits made, from the third
servant, who disobeyed simple instructions of the master.

2. Write an essay on “Student” in one paragraph of 20 to 30 sentences.

There are different stages in our life. One of these stages is being a student. Student life,
is it as easy as it looks, or is it hard that some have chosen to just give up and stay out of
school? Sometimes you just wanted to quit and give up on our dreams because of the
persecution that you received among students, teachers or even your relatives. Student life,
it’s definitely hard, but it doesn’t show us the reality of life, they judge us by the grades we
received, this numbers that described what kind of students are we, how can you be so good
at this course? How can you be good at different subject?, it let us believe that we are not
good enough, yet we struggle everyday just to get the grades that we, ourselves would be glad
to show to our parents, as Albert Einstein said: “ everybody is a genius, but if you judge a
fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid You can’t
do it, you’re stupid? How are you supposed to graduate if you’re not good at all? These is the
things you usually hear coming from other people or even your relatives, I myself don’t like
the degree program or the course I’m studying right now.
But being a student means that you are lucky enough that your parents can send you to
school, other kids can’t even afford to go to school not even in public schools, whatever your
struggling right now at your subject or course? It will just make you stronger and will teach
you how to handle things in the real world, after college for sure, the struggling that students
are facing are nothing compared to what working adults are facing, while studying do your
best, if you fail just stand up, don’t let others define who you are by your grades, show them
that you can surpass the criticism, education and learning are important so I’ll just leave
another quote from Albert Einstein “ once you stop learning, you’ll start dying”
3. Write the whole poem, “Trees” by Joyce Kilmer and paraphrase it in your own words.

Trees
Joyce Kilmer - 1886-1918

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.
TREES

Trees are beautiful

They are old
Trees stay still,
Being bold,
Tress get sad,
When they are told,
“trees are lame,”
But they are gold
