Initial screen

In the case that a telegrams does not appear on the screen, check if the <From Date> -
<To Date> are including the Telegram date. If not, modify them accordingly.

Insert new telegram
Choose telegram type (departure, noon, arrival)
When you have clicked on an arrival telegram you can also add an LPC(Loading Port
Cargo), DPC(Discharging Port Cargo), Vessel Log and Port Daily which will be
matched to the specific arrival.
In a Departure telegram you can add Vessel log only.

Telegrams have to be in sequence otherwise we get an error (Arrival should be


followed by a Departure for example).

 In case we use Gas Oil (GO) and not Diesel Oil (DO) we should place GO Qty
in the field of DO.
 For lubricants the ROB quantity is the sum of the quantity that is in the engine
PLUS the quantity in vessels inventory. “SUMP TANK” is the quantity that is in the
engine at the moment.
 Supplied quantities are included in the ROB (departure telegram)

Application can not save a telegram with a date older than the date of the latest sent
Telegram.

Telegrams have to be sent in sequential order.

Before sending the telegram we get the following NOTICE:

You can not edit a telegram after sending to the office. Also when a telegram has been
sent to the office a green check mark appears next to the telegram (in the telegram
tree-view)

Limitations/Definitions:
1. Distance Run Refers to the distance run since last telegram (report) time.
2. Steaming Time Refers to the steaming time since last telegram (report) time. In
the first field you enter the hours and in the second the minutes
3. Propeller Pitch should be entered in Meters.
4. RPM refers to the average RPM since last telegram (report) time.
5. Ballast/Laden flag is mandatory.
6. Total Distance Run, Total steaming Time, Total Average Speed in the Arrival
Telegram/Report refers to the distance run, average speed, Steaming Time since last
departure.
7. Lubricants: CO stands for Cylinder Oil, SO stands for System Oil and GO stands for
Generator Oil.
8. For the field Time Zone enter positive numbers for East and Negative for West.

Vessel log
Choose the arrival or departure that you want to match the vessel log to, click on new
telegram and the following screen will appear. The first line is automatically filled in
with EOSP, the date of the telegram and other information.

When you match it with a departure then the first line is automatically filled in with
FAOP the date and other information from the telegram.

Cargo telegrams
From the drop down choose the type of the cargo telegram you want to import (LPC,
DPC, Port Daily).
Important: In order to insert any new cargo telegram you must first click on the
respective arrival and then on “New Telegram”, all the options will be available.

LPC

Fill in the cargo grade and all the other information needed. If there are more Cargoes
click on Add Cargo and add as many as you like in the same LPC.

When the lpc is completed, press the send button. After the lpc is sent you can not
change it.

DPC

For the DPC telegram follow the same procedures.

Port Daily Load/Discharge

 The daily progress of loading /discharging is displayed in this form.


 In the cell before the cargo grade insert the date/time that you send the message.
 In the previously LD/Disch field enter the quantity of the cargo that has been
loaded or discharged until the date of the telegram.
 In the field LD/Disch last 24hrs enter the quantity loaded or discharged in the last
24 hours.
 In the field total LD/Disch enter the total quantity of the cargo that you should
load or discharge
 In the field Balance to LD/Disch enter the remaining quantity of the cargo to be
loaded or discharged.
