Where σx2 is called the variance of the variable X. The variance of the variable X can be treated
as the measure of variation; but it will have its unit in square, and therefore the standard deviation
is defined as the positive square root of the variance and it is treated as the measure of variation.
The variance is also called the mean squared deviation. It is also denoted by V(X) and is defined
