(GEOGRAPHY) REGION IX-ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA REGION X-NORTHERN MINDANAO

1. The Zamboangueño courtship and traditions are elaborate and regulated by a long
list of required social graces. An example is that a suitor could not sit unless permitted
to do so,or the suitor had to answer satisfactorily all questions as to his credentials and
occupations and the need to cultivate the goodwill of all the members of the lady's
family. As a 21st century people, does these practices are still important today?Explain
your answer.

 The zamboanga ‘s traditions always throbs with the colorful cultures, traditions,

and lifestyles of people shaped by the confluence of native Subano to name a
few. As for the 21st century if you loved your traditions ofcourse, you are obliged
to do so about your culture and traditions. In a matter of fact since it’s their
tradition no matter how old the century is, the older of their places will have to
remind those young ones that even if it’s 21st century, It is important to them.

2. Camiguin is one of the provinces in Northern Mindanao that celebrates the Lanzones
festival which is a 4-day celebration of this fruit. In addition, the sweetest Lanzones can
be found in this place. If you are living in there, how can you help maintain the good
quality of the fruit that are used for profit or subsistence?

 Fruit of lanzones are highly perishable in Luzon. Its shelf life is so short and it

needs packaging materials to extend its freshness and palatability for one week.
 Quality factors for fruits include the following— maturity, firmness, the uniformity
of size and shape, the absence of defects, skin and flesh color. Many of the same
quality factors are described for vegetables, with the addition of texture-
related attributes such as turgidity, toughness, and tenderness. In order to
maintan the demand of the consumer you need to loved what you plant and love
also your customer for it will benefit the both of you.

3. Iligan is known as the "City of Majestic Waterfalls" because of the numerous

waterfalls located within its area. The most well-known tourist attraction is the Maria
Cristina Falls. As a resident, how can you encourage visitors to maintain the cleanliness
of the place?

 In order for us to took good care of our city or place that we lived in. Especially
when unexpected visitor will passed by or saw the Majestic Falls, We should
remind them to keep it clean and put a signage on the Waterfalls so that people
would maintain what are the rules and regulations in place. We need to orient
them first the what DO’s and DON’Ts and ofcourse remind them to make sure to
restock hygiene products regularly (hand sanitizers, toilet paper, wipes, paper
towels, etc.), especially during winter when viruses are common now a days and
also educate the staff about the importance of cleanliness in the workplace via
meetings or announcements

4. Northern Mindanao was a vast territory home to various indigenous people. So,how

can we protect the rights of indigenous people?

 In order for us to help them in small ways, We can atleast support and not
judge them. Indigenous peoples retain cultural, economic and political
characteristics distinct from the dominant societies in which they live. A baby
from the indigenous Kadazandusun ethnic group sleeps in a traditional cloth
cradle in Malaysia, where UNICEF supports programmes for indigenous and other
marginalized children.
 Indigenous peoples have the right to manifest, practise, develop and teach their
spiritual and religious traditions, customs and cer- emonies; the right to
maintain, protect, and have access in privacy to their religious and cultural sites;
the right to the use and control of their ceremonial objects.

5. As a concern citizen of our country, what are your possible contributions to preserve

the culture, tradition and heritage of both region?

 Well, As a president of the youth now a days. To set aside the religious thing,
We can have a small gathering in our community to maintain our respective
culture, traditions and etc,.with the help of social media, our platforms can
change the world, Or to be vlogger so that both regions can manifest the
traditions, because being a vlogger is the new trend with no judgement we can
live harmony and peace. The youth are our future.

Philosophy of Music Education

1.Music is said to be an amazing stress reliever, does the volume of a song influence

your enjoyment of it?Why?

 Yes, It does. It feels like ignoring the world because they don’t seem
understand how it feels. Music for me is a stress reliever indeed. Especially, in
times of up’s and down. I really love to hear worship songs and in a high
volume. Whether you are angry or frustrated, happy or cheerful, sad or
anxious, when you listen to music, it can transport you to your happy place.
There is just something about those melodious notes that enchant your soul.

2.Music does wander for your health such as it reduces stress and anxiety levels.Explain
how music or sound able to directly influence the psychological state of an individual.

 Music makes a powerful impact in our life. The reinforcement or reward

happens almost entirely because of dopamine. It affects our mental health
and positive effect on people, and that those who listen to it show signs of
happiness.
 During highly stressful and painful events, people are recommended to listen
to soothing music. This helps them fight against the feelings of anxiety and
pain, and also lower their heart rates. Research also suggests that birthing
mothers who bring music to the birthing room feel more relaxed during the
birthing procedure.
 Most of the time, bad mood is caused by the stress that you are battling with.
Music helps you to reduce this stress, which in turn makes you feel better
many meditation experts also recommend people listen to calming music
while meditating.

3.Those who undergo musical training are said to be more cooperative and coordinated
than those who are not.To what extent do you agree?

 Yes it does make sense that those people who practiced are more
cooperative. And coordinated, because they undergo different
trainings and seminars. But to the point that there are a lot of
people who does not need to have a trainor but they are the one
who help themselves to feel relaxed and do what makes them
happy. They are independent and their willingness to learn is
subjective.

4. Do you believe that music can change peoples ideologies? In what way?

 Yes! In times of great tragedies, music has helped to hold people

together. Songs were written to describe the plights of people
facing oppression, inspiring a sense of empathy among listeners
who were compelled to take action or raise their voices against the
atrocities.

5.Music is an important history discovered by humans. Why do you think music is very

important on one's life?

 Music is often regarded as a source of entertainment, but many

people didn’t realize that this art form has positive effects on their
mood and level of happiness.
 The fact that music has so many health benefits is quite
fascinating. From pain management to stress relief, music plays a
vital role in managing a person’s mood. When you feel positive and
less stressed, you will have more positive energy. You will also be
able to do your work with more enthusiasm, which will result in
greater overall productivity.
 Instead of limiting music to a pastime, start your day with an
appropriate dose of music. Listen to it on your way to work, or
when you are preparing to leave on your commute. Bring your
stress levels down and start the day with more positivity.
