    Lake Michigan-Huron water levels have fluctuated over the past 60 years, ranging from record highs in the 1980s to recent record lows in 2013. The long-term average water level since 1918 is 578.81 feet. In October 1986 the record high of 582.35 feet was reached, while the new record low was set in January 2013 at 576.02 feet, lower than the previous 1964 low. Water levels in 2019 were above the long-term average.
