I. INTRODUCTION

Basketball Round 1)

d. Score: ​87- 74 (in favor of UST)

II. GAME ANALYSIS

a. Defensive and offensive strategy of both teams and skills of the players
● 1st Quarter
○ NU Bulldogs keep a two-man guard on Subido
○ UST maintains a defensive strategy, keeping NU away from the
area near the basket, as to force them to take 3-point shots
rather than 2-points, which is how they’ve been scoring this
quarter
○ Nonoy displays a balance of speed, agility, and endurance. He is
skillful in both shooting and his high jumps for the lay-ups.
● 2nd Quarter
○ NU’s main source of offense is Ildefonso's long range 3-point
shots as well as his Euro step power move.
○ UST’s offense strategy is a 2-move execution by (1) having the
key offense players bring the ball to the basket, then if the key
players miss the shot (2) Chabiyo will do a rebound.
○ Team captain Cansino sets the rhythm of the teams by having a
great combination of aggressiveness and control.

c. Describe atmosphere of the crowd

At the beginning, both crowds are respectfully cheering and rooting

for each other’s team. All throughout the game, the crowd has been
consistently cheering for their team whenever the players scored. But,
after the first quarter, the UST crowd has overpowered the cheer of the
NU crowd but NU still continues to show their support and enthusiasm
even though the UST team has the lead. Each crowd seems to have a
favorite player, the crowd cheers louder whenever Subido and Ildefonso
scores. At the end of the second quarter the cheers became more
frequent whenever the game became heated. Overall, the whole crowd
showed their school spirit enthusiastically and fueled their teams drive to
play better and enjoy the game.
