Verbal lesson: Capital Letters Make The Same Sound

(Demonstrate on a blackboard or on a piece of paper.) Because capital letters make the exact same
sounds as the little letters, you can write a word
There are two ways to write each letter in the with either capital letters or little letters, and
alphabet – the little letters: the word will say the same thing –

And the capital letters:

A B C CAT cat

So, for every letter in the alphabet, we have


two ways to write them – the little letters So whether you write (point to the word) “cat”
and the capital letters: or (point to the word) “CAT,” it still says the
same thing – “cat.”
