Caption – Unit Plan

This unit is geared at facilitating the students’ understanding and appreciation of the

significance of the Haitian Revolution and the impact it had on slavery. Students will learn that

through the benefits of slave unity, Haiti became the first independent nation in the Caribbean.

This unit will allow students to gain an appreciation of dedication and unity thus improving the

social fabric of Trinidad and Tobago. While developing this unit I learnt that there were many

details that must be clearly identified for student to gain a complete understanding of the topic.
