HOME WORK – Day 2
TASK:
Note down your approximate expenses on home for one year
excluding your income tax, regular deposits, recurring
deposits, loan. With the help of your family members, stratify
your total expenses in different categories and prepare list of

category as mentioned by you in your home work -2. Show vital
few and useful many in the graph.

2. For each and every category, imagine and write down new
expenses, as how much will be the expenses if necessary action
taken. This to be taken as “after data”. Now make comparative
Pareto diagram 40 Marks
HOME WORK - Day 4
1.Decide one problem per head from your family members. Apply priority method to
select one problem. M Marks: 10

HOME WORK - DAY 5

Make Histogram based on weight of 100 Laddu.

Least count of the scale is 0.2 gm

For readings: note down 100 readings by yourself. Minimum

reading must be 33.8 gm and highest 46.2 gm. Other 98
readings you can write as per your choice. Now you are
having 100 readings. Value of “W” 0.2, Lower Value is 33.8
and highest value is 46.2. Number of readings are 100
hence the value of K=7

Now find our class interval and put tallies based on the
readings written by you. Based on this make Histogram.

Example and method of calculation is also given for your

help

Least Count of the measuring instrument “W”= 1 gm

Range “R” = Highest value - lowest value

= 37 - 24
= 13
Number of class interval “K” for Less then 50=6
51-100 =7
101-200=8
201-500=9
500-1000=10

Hence the value of K=7

Class width = (R+W)/K = (13+1)/7 =2
Lower value of first class interval = (Lowest value – W/2)
24–0.5=23.5
Highest Value of first class interval= (Lower value of first
class interval + Class width)
