Scope of Contract: The proposed section is part of the approximately 202.5 Km long new Modjo -
Hawassa Highway, which is entirely located in the Oromia Regional State in the
South Central part of the Country.
The purpose of the Project is to design and construct a new ±57.1 km 4-lane dual
carriageway highway from Batu (Zeway) to Arsi Negele, its auxiliary works and
link roads. The project scope also includes the design and construction of
appropriate intersections on the highway. The Contract is a Lump Sum (LS)
Contract, which includes all site investigation, design, physical works,
construction activities and services necessary to design and construct the
highway as indicated in the Bid Data Sheet and under this section. The contract
for the Batu (Zeway) - Arsi Negele section is one of four contracts for the Modjo -
Hawassa Highway which shown as follows: Lot 1: Modjo - Meki Section (±56.8
km), Lot 2: Meki -Batu (Zeway) Section (±36.9 km), Lot 3: Batu (Zeway) - Arsi
Negele Section (±57.1 km) and Lot 4: Arsi Negele - Hawassa Section (±52.5 km).

Duration of Contract: 3.5 Calendar Years
