Drinking Water

• Rural People are relying on unsafe water source


• 62% Hand Pump, 24% Uncovered well and 2% River/Canal which
results into 88%.
SOLUTION
• Cost of RO plant:- Rs 5 lakhs for 2000L/hr
• 719 villages:- Rs 50Cr (Capex + Opex)
Open Defecation

• 88%- Rural open defecation


• 71.5%- District open defecation
SOLUTION
• Total Village – 719 Villages
• Rs 50,000/Toilet || Per Village – 25 Toilets
• Total cost:- Rs. 80Cr. (Including Opex)
Agricultural Issues

1. Failure of Kharif crop season, increased agriculture debts and poor


quality of seed distribution.
SOLUTION
Setting up agriculture support center and educating and providing them
with HYV seeds and pesticides.
Per village: 10,00,000 (6 Capex and 4 Op ex)
Total Cost:- ₹80Cr.
2. To achieve more crop per drop by implementing Micro Irrigation
Testing & Implementing: ₹28Cr.
Education Facilities

Out of 16 districts in Chhattisgarh, Korba is ranked 12th with an education


index of 0.603.
SOLUTIONS
1. Stipend of Rs. 500 to each student makes ₹6Cr.
2. Starting with 50 villages and in 5 years we will aim for 150 villages.
3. The total amount will be arount ₹40Cr.
4. Providing free transport for students to school costs about ₹50Cr.
5. Improvement of existing school Infrastructure in around 400 schools
costing to ₹40Cr.
Proper Health Care facilities – (Health issues)

1. Health Index is 0.293. (Average is 0.57)


2. Issues with Primary Health Care Centers.
SOLUTIONS:
1. Mobile Health Units. (₹20 Lacs/unit). One unit for 5 villages. Therefore,
total cost is ₹30Cr.
2. Facilitating the improvement of Medical Centers/Mandal Hospitals. 5
sub districts, divided into 7 zones, assuming each zone has one medical
center, therefore, ₹ 1Cr/ medical center, the total cost is ₹35Cr.
Empowerment

1. 40% of rural population are non workers and yearly 1 lakh metric ton of
fly ash disposal.
Solution: Setting up of Brick manufacture co-operative societies by reusing
the disposed ash which generates the employment for rural population
2. 94% of rural population are still relying on the fire wood for cooking
Solution: Distributing small LPG cylinders to 50,000 families which costs
around
Capex: ₹ 7.5Cr (1,500 x 50,000)
Opex: ₹ 60Cr (200 x 50,000)
Total cost for 5years: ₹67Cr.
