1. Important concepts

 Confidence interval : it is the variable range the true value, which is based on the
specific sizes of the sample and the population.
 Snowball sampling: it consists of selecting participants on the basis of the
information selected by previous studies; this technique is not applied due to
statistical inferences.
 Sampling error: it is the degree for witch a sample differs or postpones in a
variable population key. Also, the sampling error describes the between sample
statistic and population parameters.
 Alternative hipothesis: this hypothesis specifies the relationship between two or
more variables, whitch id symbolized by H1 or Ha, it must be true and must be
accepted.
 Sampling distribution: they are the possible samples that can be taken from a
population
3.
The article is important because it describes all the concepts of inferential statistics; which
tells us how to draw general conclusions for the entire population from the study of a
sample, and the degree of reliability or importance of the results obtained. Just as it
indicates the types of random or probabilistic and non-probabilistic sampling; it also
demonstrates the concepts of sampling error, confidence levels and confidence interval. It
emphasizes the types of hypotheses, which can be alternative or null; All these concepts
allow us to have a clear definition of everything that inferential statistics encompasses
because it provides us with tools to obtain key conclusions that can be applied when
developing thematic exercises or a population in a given investigation; it is for this reason
that inferential statistics becomes so important because they allow us to make a better
distribution of resources.
 4. Give the equation (consult it) of the given concepts, if there is no giving the process.
 The following formula is usually used to calculate the sample size:

 How to calculate margin of error

 The confidence level (p) is designated by 1 - α, and is usually taken as a percentage.

P(Z>z α/2) = α/2
P[-z α/2 < z < z α/2] = 1 - α

α/2 z α/2

0.95 0.025 1.96
0.99 0.005 2.575
