Miami Dolphins -1.5

The Miami Dolphins could be in big trouble this Northbet Thursday if their
quarterback Chad Henne decides he is physically unable to perform.

The Dolphins lost two quarterbacks in their matchup with the Tennessee Titans last
week.

Miami head coach Tony Sparano decided to start 34-year-old quarterback Chad
Pennington, who had just been cleared to play as he recovered from a right shoulder
injury.

However just a few minutes into the game on the Dolphins’ first drive, Pennington
was hit and brought down hard by Titans’ Left Defensive End Jason Babin. Chad
ended up reinjuring his right shoulder in what is claimed to be his “career-ending
injury”. On his second attempt of this 2010 Northbet season, Chad Pennington
threw for his only completion that was worth 19 yards.

As a result of Pennington’s exit of the game, (the other) Chad Henne entered, looking
to reclaim a team that was his just two Northbet weeks ago.

Under center, Henne completed 19 passes of his 28 attempts (67.9%) that

accounted for 240 yards. He also added an interception and an aerial touchdown to
Patrick Cobbs, producing a 91.4 passer rating.

Though, very unfortunately for Miami, Henne was brutally hit on his down of the
final drive of the third quarter by Tennessee Right Defensive Tackle Tony Brown. He
injured his knee and left the Northbet matchup, letting third-stringer Tyler Thigpen.

For a quarterback who hasn’t taken a snap in 5 weeks, Thigpen actually performed
quite well. He completed 4 of 6 passes for 64 yards as well as a touchdown to Tight
End Anthony Fasano. Thigpen also retained a clean sheet of zero interceptions.
But don’t get too excited just yet as he entered the game in the final quarter when
the Chads had already put Miami up 23-17.

ESPN reports, “it seems unlikely that Henne will be able to play Thursday”, giving
Miami fans little to be excited about. If he won’t be able to perform, expect this
Northbet matchup to be one that the Dolphins would like to forget for a long time.

Brett’s Prediction: Chicago Bears: 20, Miami Dolphins: 13

Nielson Notice: 26-year-old Tyler Thigpen has never started a game in his two
years with the Miami Dolphins. He has also only won 2 of the 19 games he has
performed in during his entire career.

NFL Expert Pick: Chicago Bears (+1.5).
