Cell Analogy Collage - 2008
Cell Analogy Collage - 2008
“It takes 3 million cells to cover the head of a pin, but only one cell
collage to cover the vast knowledge you have obtained about cells.”
Task:
1. Use colored pencils to neatly draw a picture of a plant cell on your
poster board or butcher paper. In your drawing, be sure to include all
12 of the organelles listed on your “Cell Organelle Information Sheet”.
Each type of organelle should be a different color in your drawing.
For instance you may find a picture of a brain and use it as an analogy
of the nucleus. A good analogy might sound like this :
Notice how this analogy states the function of the organelle, and the
function of the object it is being compared to. Your analogies must explain
how the two functions are similar to one another.
5. Paste all of the pictures you have obtained from the magazines around
the picture of the cell. Label each picture with your neatly typed
analogies. The analogies that you create for your organelles must be
typed in order to earn full credit!! Draw an arrow to the correct
organelle your analogy is describing.
