Reflective Log

Topic: Toddlers

Hospicio De San Jose was the 2nd to the last place we are to visit for our immersion. We were
divided into 3 Groups one for toddler the other 2 are pre-school and geriatric. I was assign to the
toddlers and the toddlers there were adorable and amazing. We were able to interact with the toddler
and play with them.

We provided and presented a program even if it was just a small program to teach them some
of the health tips to be a healthy person in the future. We also gave them some souvenirs to help them
in their daily needs like toothbrush and toothpaste.

The thing is some of them were left here because the family wasn’t able to support the children
and or was left alone. The good thing is that we are blessed to have a family of our own to support us
and care for us not like the places we’ve immersed with were some cases they lost their family and or
was abandoned by them. One of the facilitator who handles the toddlers their said “that they really
appreciate the people who visit because the children wanted to feel the love”. They’ve wanted to feel
the love that their parent wasn’t able to give them.
