CONTRACT OF SERVICES

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This instrument is executed by and between:

GEOFFREY IAIN DE JOUX, a citizen of New Zealand, of legal age, and presently residing in
Panglao, Bohol, Philippines, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER; and

BOLOFER & BOLOFER ARCHITECTS, represented in this instrument by NEDY BOLOFER,


Filipino, of legal age, and a resident of Baclayon, Bohol, Philippines, hereinafter referred to as the
ARCHITECT;

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS, the OWNER needs the services of a registered architect to draw up the plans,
design and other requirements needed for the issuance of a Building Permit for the construction of a two
(2) – storey residential building with a closed area of 394.87 square meters and open area of 61.22
square meters on that certain parcel of land designated as Lot No. 11811, Gss-07-02-000039, identical
to Lot 7142-U, Csd-07-012881, situated in Mayacabac, Dauis, Bohol, Philippines, and which parcel of
land is more particularly described and bounded as follows:

“A parcel of land (Lot No. 11811, Gss-07-02-000039, identical to Lot 7142-U,


Csd-07-012881) situated in the Barrio of Mayacabac, Municipality of Dauis, Province
of Bohol, Island of Panglao. Bounded on the SE., along line 1-2 by Lot No. 11812,
Gss-07-02-000039, identical to Lot 7142-V, Csd-07-012881; on the SW., along line 2-
3 by Lot No. 11815, Gss-07-02-000039, identical to Lot 7142-Y, Csd-07-012881,
Right of Way; on the NW., along line 3-4 by Lot No. 11810, Gss-07-02-000039,
identical to Lot 7142-T, Csd-07-012881; on the NE., along line 4-5 by Lot No. 11815,
Gss-07-02-000039, identical to Lot 7142-Y, Csd-07-012881, Right of Way; and on the
SE., along line 5-1 by Lot No. 11813, Gss-07-02-000039, identical to Lot 7142-W,
Csd-07-012881. xxx xxx xxx Containing an area of Four Hundred
(400) square meters, more or less.”

WHEREAS, the ARCHITECT represents itself as a registered professional with capacity to


meet the demands of the OWNER for the intended construction of a residential building;

WHEREFORE, both parties agree on the following terms and conditions:

1. That the ARCHITECT shall draw up the full and complete working drawings of the proposed
2 – storey residential building of the OWNER;

2. That the complete working drawings shall compose of all plans, design and other
requirements that are needed for the issuance of a Building Permit by the Municipal Government of
Dauis, Bohol and other concerned government offices;

3. That the ARCHITECT shall finish all the drawings and deliver the same to the OWNER not
later than September 14, 2010;

4. That for the services to be rendered by the ARCHITECT, the OWNER shall pay the former
the total amount of FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS (P50,000.00), to be paid as follows:

a. The OWNER shall pay the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND PESOS


(P20,000.00) as down payment upon execution of this Contract;
b. The balance of THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS (P30,000.00) shall be paid by the
OWNER upon delivery and receipt of the complete working drawings of the
proposed 2 – storey residential building, duly approved by the OWNER, and ready
for application for Building Permit with LGU – Dauis, Bohol;

5. That this Contract of Services shall be exclusively for the above-mentioned services only and
shall not, in any way, bind the OWNER to proceed further or pursue any other agreement with the
ARCHITECT;

6. That any violation of the terms and conditions of this contract shall, as much as possible, be
settled amicably between both parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, both parties have hereunto set their hands this _______________ at
