Use of Anchor Fasteners for Spreader Plates used in Semi-Portable Weighbridges 1. Each Spreader Plate requires 6 nos. 24 mm diameter Anchor Fasteners. 2. For this, each Spreader Plate comes with 6 nos. 28 mm diameter holes drilled in it as shown in the Figure below. ° ° ° : ° ° ° Figure ~ Spreader Plate 3. Each of these Anchor Fasteners should be inserted 210 mm deep into a 28 mm diameter hole driled into the concrete base below the Spreader Plate (taking the 28 mm diameter holes on the spreader plate as guides for driling) “The installation of these Anchor Fasteners makes use of a proprietary Anchoring System supplied by Hilti, ‘a. The Anchor Fasteners used are HAS- type 24 mm (HAS E M24 210/54) b. Dri type TE-Y 28mm x 860mm Injection Material HIT-HY200-R 330/2 (This Is the Resin Capsule containing the Chemical Grouting Material.) (Any other technically equivalent Anchoring System may also be employed as an alternative to the above.) 4, Drill all six holes through the Spreader Plate to a depth of 240 mm below the top surface of the Spreader Plate. 5. Remove all loose dust and material using the pump and brushes provided in the kit. To avoid the dill becoming jammed, this must be done regularly, especially if the dril does not have a reversing feature. 6. Insert the Resin Capsule, (arrow point first). as mentioned in 3c above, into the prepared hole. On the ‘Anchor Fastener stud place a washer and then attach 2 nuts with a washer between them to form lock ‘nuts as shown in the Figure below. Inserted depth 210mm Figure — Anchor stud 7. Place the 3/4 inch drive shaft in the dril with a 36 mm socket attached. 8. Push the Anchor Fastener into the hole. 9. Drive the Anchor Fastener into the hole and thereafter into the compound capsule. The mixed resin will travel up the thread as the dil mixes It. Stop when the resin appears at the surface of the hole. 10. The resin mixture must now be left for the length of time shown in the table below. —_ ‘THESE TIMES MUST BE STRICTLY OBSERVED “Ambient Temperature" ‘*Release Time (Min) "curing Time (Min) ~5t00 a font 300) 0010 30 60 10020 20 30. 202 3 20 "Release Time is the gulde time before the lock nuts can be released, **Cure time is the time prior to fully tightening the bolts.
