AnyConnect App for Windows

OVERVIEW
The documentation below shows the process of setting up the AnyConnect application to connect
to CU Boulder's VPN service for Windows users.

Step 1
Download and install Cisco AnyConnect for
Windows  .
*Note: If you are currently using AnyConnect
for another VPN, you do not need to reinstall
the application. You only need to add the
new profile, as shown in the remaining steps.

Step 2
Open the Cisco AnyConnect Security
Mobility Client application.
*Note: If opening from Program Files,
double-click vpnui, located in the Cisco ->

folder, to launch the application.

Step 3
Type vpn.colorado.edu into the VPN:
textfield, then click Connect.
*Note: Advanced users and system
administrators should enter
vpn.colorado.edu/limited in this field. Custom
VPNs in the format of vpn.colorado.edu with
/thecustomaddress appended should also be
entered in this field, if applicable.

Step 4
When prompted to login, enter your CU
Login Name and IdentiKey password, then
click OK.

Step 5
You will now be connected to the CU Boulder
VPN service. All your internet activity will be
routed securely through the VPN.
*Note: For future connections, use steps 2 -
5. The vpn.colorado.edu connection can now
be selected from the the drop-down menu in
step 3.

Step 6

Disconnect
To disconnect, reopen the client by clicking
on the AnyConnect icon from the bottom right
task bar.

Step 7
Click the Disconnect button to end your
session.
