Cumulus Clouds
These clouds look like white
fluffs of cotton. They may
pile high up in the sky like
mountains of clouds. They
are most often seen on
bright, sunny says.
cumulonimbus
Cumulonimbus Clouds
Cumulonimbus are the
scariest clouds. They look
like dark gray instead of
white, sometimes almost
black. These clouds mean
thunderstorm is coming.
Sometimes balls of ice called
hail fall from cumulonimbus
clouds or tornadoes grow out
of them.
www,pinayhomeschooler.comCirrus Clouds
They are hardly there. They
look like white feathers that’s
trailing across the sky.
Cirrus clouds mean sunny
weather ond no rain. They
are usually far apart and let
the sun shine on the Earth.
Cirrostratus Clouds
They cover the entire sky.
They mean that it may rain
or snow in twelve to twenty
four hours. “Stratus” means
clouds that are flat and
spread out like a blanket.
www,pinayhomeschooler.comCirrocumulus Clouds
They are small, white puffy
clouds that are scattered
across the entire sky.
“Cumulus” means that a
cloud is rounded instead of
flat. Cirrocumulus clouds
mean that it is going to get
colder.
Altocumulus Clouds
These clouds look like ocean
waves-puffy, white and gray.
When you see them during
the hot, humid days, a
thunderstorm will probably
occur.
Altostratus Clouds
These are gray blue and
streaky clouds that cover the
sky. When you see these, it
means that it could rain that
night or the next day.
Stratus Clouds
These are gray clouds that
cover the whole sky. Stratus
clouds mean rain but not that
much.
www,pinayhomeschooler.comStratocumulus Clouds
These are gray clouds that
look like a row of fuzzy
lumps hanging low in the sky.
No rain falls with these
clouds.
