1. How can ICT integration in education help to address educational issues on quality and access?

• Information and communication technology is a shorthand for the computers, software, networks,
satellite links and related systems that allow people to access, analyse, create, exchange and use data,
information and knowledge in ways that were almost imaginable. ICT use can help students to develop
the competencies need for the current globalization. This is because ICT can help students to develop
their skills, boost up their motivation and wide their knowledge and information. ICTs enhance the
quality of education in several ways: by increasing learner motivation and engagement, by facilitating
the acquisition of basic skills, and by enhancing teacher training. ICTs are also transformational tool
which, when used appropriately, can promote the shift to a learner-centered.

2. What are the different curricular and instructional innovations related to ICT integration being
implemented in Philippine schools?

• We have to set up our ICT thrust as we gradually implement the K to 12 Basic Education Reform
Program. As we all know, ICT plays a very important role in administrative functions as well as in the
teaching and learning process. The Philippine Government has shown serious commitment to ICT in
education in announcing a series of initiatives to apply ICT in teaching and learning. These were aligned
to the Millennium Development Goals and the education for all movements. The completely integrate
ICT into the curriculum, which includes the development of multimedia instructional materials, and ICT
enabled assessment.
