-has permanent displays of antiquities
-has one of the world’s biggest libraries
The House of Parliament:
-also called the palace of Westminster
Picadilly Circus:
-is one of the busiest junctions in the city
-at night becomes a mass of coloured changing lights
Westminster abbey:
-was the scene of coronation
-one of it’s treasures is the oaken coronation chair
10 drowning street:
-was the hone of British prime minister
The Bardincan arts centre:
-it’s made out of: steel concrete glass
-has a concert hall, a theatre and art galleries
St. Paul Chatedral:
-Sir Christopher Wren’s baroque masterpiece
-Nelson and Wren are buried here
Madame Tussaud’s:
-exhibist’s wax models of famous people
LONDON BY DAY AND BY NIGHT
To get around London most visitors choose the official London
transport, a 90 minutes trip around London.
West End theatres with their wide range of shows.
If you prefer to explore London by yourself you can take the
black cap service but it’s pretty expensive.
One big attraction is the modern arts centre, it has 2 cinemas
and art galleries.
For shopping Oxford street and Regend street are the
answare, you can visit Petticoat Lane.
Near Leicester Square are a bunch of discos and night clubs.
To escape the noise of the city you can go in a park like St.
James’s Park or Hyde park.
Pubs where people enjoy a chat with priend or a game of pool
over a pint of beer.
