Work Done
I was handling some newly acquired pharmacies. I visited those pharmacies and
evaluated everything what we can do in those pharmacies, met wih the doctor there,
what are the challenges there, what changes we can make in those pharmacies, etc. I
also sat with the vendors and discussed with them how we can cut down the costs,
what are the things that we can implement to cut down the costs.

On this day, I visited a manufacturer of PVC curtains to check the quality that he is
providing us and to negotiate for the rates. I also visited a Hospital in Ghaziabad where
work was in progress. In this Hospital we used a new material for making walls for
pharmacy which is less costly and easy to make and remove.

I visited 3 Hospitals for Branding and Civil work in pharmacies. I talked to doctors there
and evaluated certain things like Number of beds in the hospital, Number of IPD and
OPD patients in the hospital, how many pharmacies are there in that area, etc. so that
the management can take right decisions regarding investment in the hospitals. These
decisions provide a clear view of whether to invest in that pharmacy or not.

On Saturday, I invited all the civil work vendors in the office with whom the company is
working. I sat with them and told them about the future plans. I told them to provide
new rates for the future work and negotiated with them for the rates.

During this week, I interacted with many vendors and doctors which helped me to
improve my communication skills, managerial skills and negotiation skills. I got some
understanding of how decisions are taken to invest or not in a pharmacy. I searched
for some items and things that we can use in our pharmacies in place of some costly
things that the company is using. This will help in reducing costs.
