    On behalf of our client, Messrs. ………………….. and duly authorized hereto, we advise that you are hereby appointed as contractor
    for the works referred to in the following documents -

    The total cost of the above work is the sum of USD……………… inclusive of Value Added Tax.

    Due to the limited size and duration of the work, a formal building contract will not be entered into or signed by our client or yourselves,
    but the relationship between our client and yourselves shall in all respects be governed by the agreement and schedule of conditions
    of building contract 1981/88 edition (without quantities contract) published by the Institute of South African Architects. Our Client and
    yourselves will be bound to the terms of such agreement as though the same had been properly entered into.

    In terms of the said agreement a schedule has to be completed and the following information shall be in lieu of such schedule -

    1. Public liability insurance cover at a minimum amount of USD……………….. shall be provided by you. Please provide written
    proof by return of post that this has been done;

    2. Risk insurance shall be undertaken by our client;
