I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
a. Identify the verb in a sentence.
b. Write action words based on the picture given.
c. Show cooperation with each other.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
a. Topic: Verb
b. References: Learner’s material in English 1,page 46-48.
c. Materials: Charts, pictures, and flash cards.

III. PROCEDURE:
a. Review
Write S if the pairs of words have the same sound and D if the pairs have
different sound.

b. Motivation
Let the pupils sing the song:
Anna Was Still Sleeping

(Let.’s sing to the tune of
Eensy-Weensy Spider)
Anna was sleeping
when ugly spider jumped.
Down came the spider,
and kissed Anna.’s mouth.
Out came the sun
and startled Anna up.
Now, the eensy-weensy spider
runs quickly out the door.
