 INTRODUCTION

 Accidents are always a major problem when

we come on roads especially in ghat
sections.
 Road accidents can cause serious injuries
leading to lifelong disabilities and even
death.
 Each additional rescue minute can mean the
difference between life and death.
 It is important not only for traffic
management but also, for Intelligent
Transportation Systems (ITS) through its
contribution to avoid the escalation of
accidents .
PROBLEM STATEMENT
 EXISTING SYSTEM

 Manual tracking: keeping the vehicles details

in manual based information system
whenever they entered to checkpost .
 vibration sensor will detect the signal &
microcontroller will send the alert message
to police control room or rescue team
through GPS MODEM.
 By receiving the information rescue team
will trace the location of the vehicle using
GPS MODEM.
 PROPOSED SYSTEM
 This proposed system aims to
provide such a system where
real-time traffic-flow in the ghat
section.
 The movement of vehicles is
monitored and the occurrence of
accidents is identified and a
notification is sent to check post
about the accident so that they
can arrive to the scene of
accident for the rescue.
 OBJECTIVES
• Capturing number plate of vehicle for arrival time in the ghat section.
• Automated rescue notification to the check post.
• Instant accident detection through image sensing and processing.
• Auto identification of vehicle positioning on roads, which helps in prediction of vehicle position.
• Motion based vehicle detection.
