We would like to inform you about the following subjects, because of changes
and/or new parts.

What: A new software version V1.10 (floppy) for the SELECTRA 2 has been
released.
Unfortunately in the Spanish, French, German and Italian version a
bug was found in the "PROZONE CHECK" selection of the "test
programming mode". The English version works correctly.

Each software version must match in horizontal sense with the set used in your instrument.
What: We made a general overview of the service info's of 1995 up to the current
one.
Why: The last year several service info's have been made for the SELECTRA
1 and 2. To have a clear overview of the items mentioned in the info's
see Appendix B.
What: By means of this info we are reporting the latest settings as mentioned in
Info nr 2/96.
See Appendix A.
Check: Please, check if the programmed settings are corresponding with the
settings given in the list.
What: The coolunit is equipped with a liquid level detection which gives an
acoustic alarm in case the cooling liquid level is to low.
Why: To protect the cooling liquid pump for running dry, because this can
damage the pump.
The level sensor.
The liquid level measuring principle is based on conductance.
Therefore the cooling liquid must be conductive otherwise the level
detection will not work and a continuous beep will be the result.
When the cooling unit is first filled with <3ml aqua stable and then ±
2,5 litre distilled water is added the conductance will be sufficient.
Installation instruction:
The instrument will start beeping and a LED on the front side will lite up
because the liquid level is to low.
THEN fill the coolunit with distilled water (approx. 2.5 litre) until the beeper
switches off.
Note: This order of filling will result in a better mixing of the two liquids.
When: All cooling units delivered from November 1995 and later are equipped
with this level sensor.
Why: The internal printer and external barcode scanner are not always
used by the customer.
Mounting instruction:
The installation of the barcode scanner is very simple and does not
need any specific instruction.
