Pattern with photo tutorial for the realisation of romantic

victorian fingerless gloves

This guide contains the pattern for two differnt yarns, one with thick cotton yarn, one
with medium acrilic yarn.

Here you will finds the instructions for the gloves made with the thick cotton;
the instructions for the gloves made with acrilic yarn are below.

Advice: Before beginning to work, read the complete instruction and have a look at the
photos to be sure you have understand everything right.

Materials:
2 balls of thick coton (1oog = 150mt)
crochet hook size J/10
needle for wool
Scissors
List of abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
point X = skip 1sc, work 2 dc in the next 2 sc, turn back to the sc you skipped and work 1
dc in it

Before you start to work it is important to make a little test of fabric. Controll if you test
fabric has
the same size as mine. If it turns out bigger, use a I/9 crochet hook, if it turns out too little,
use a K/10.5 crochet hook.

Gauge:
For the test fabric of 5 x 5 inches I worked:
1) 15 ch
2) 14 sc
3) ch 3, 4 point X, 1 dc
4-6) 14 sc
7) ch 3, 4 point X, 1 dc
8-10) 14 sc
11) ch 3, 4 point X, 1 dc
12)-13) 14 sc

Realisation of the gloves:

Cast on 30 chains.
We work in rows.

1) Turn your work, work 1 sc in the second chain from the hook, work 1 sc in every chain
of the beginning chains = 29 sc in the first row.
2) Turn your work and do ch 3, *skip 1 sc, work 2 dc into next 2 stitches, turn back
into the sc you skipped before and work 1 dc* = point X
Continue working in the same way 8 point X, work 1 dc in the remaining sc.
3-5) ch 1, turn your work, work 1 sc into each stitch (=29sc).
6) like the 2) row: ch 3, 9 point X, 1 dc
7-9) ch 1, 1 sc in every stitch = 29 sc
10) like the 2) row: ch 3, 9 point X, 1 dc
11-13) ch 1, 1 sc in every stitch = 29 sc
14) like the 2) row: ch 3, 9 point X, 1 dc
15-17) ch 1, 1 sc in every stitch = 29 sc

At this point controll the size of your gloves. If your arm and hands are very thin or
if you
work the gloves for a child it could already be the right size.
Put the fabric on a table, put your hand over the fabric just like you see on the photo.
Falt the fabric over your hand and look if you can close easily the gloves.
Work only if necessary:
18) like the 2) row: ch 3, 9 point X, 1 dc
19) ch 1, 1 sc in every stitch = 29 sc
Now the fabric size is approx. 9.5 x 7 inches

Closure of the gloves:

Falt the fabric in half, ch 1, work 4 sl st going through the sc of the last row and going
through the
beginning chains of the work, sewing together the fabric in this way.
Work 8 sl st only into the sc of the last row to form the opening for your finger.
Skip the next 8 chains of the beginning row and continue working 17 sl st through the sc
of the last row and through the beginning chains.
Turn the inside out without cutting the yarn.

Work one round of 26 sc for a beautiful finishing. Close with 1 sl st and cut the yarn.
Start working on the other ending of the glove with 1 sl st.
*Skip the space of approx. 2 sc, work a group of 5 hdc in the same stitch, skip the
space of 2 sc and work 1 sl st in the next space.*
Repeat 4 more times for a total of 5 groups. Close with a sl st and cut the yarn.
With a needle sew all endings on the inside.
Work the second glove in the same way.
For the glove with acrilic yarn:
Material:
2 yarn balls of acrilic (100gr = 300mt)
Crochet hook size 7
Scissors
Needle

Gauge:
4x4 inches= repeat for 3 times 5 point X + 3 rows of sc

Realisation:
You work exactly the same way as for the cotton gloves, but you use a crochet hook
size 7 and you start with a beginning chain of 46 chains.

You close the gloves after you repeated for 7 times the row of point X.
Every row of point X is composed by 14 point X.
For the sewing with sl st, work 4 mbss through both sides of the fabric, 8 sl st only
through the
stitches of the last row, skip 8 beginning chains and work in sl st through both sides
of the fabric until you reach at the end of the row.
Turn the inside out without cutting the yarn.

Finishing:
Work one round of 36 sc on the low side of the glove.

Work one row of hdc groups on the other side of the glove for a total of 7 groups.

Spiegazioni passo passo con foto tutorial per la realizzazione
dei guanti senza dita vittoriani

Questa guida contiene il pattern per due diversi tipi di filati, uno di cotone spesso, l'altra
di lana acrilica media.

Trovate qui le spiegazioni per i guanti realizzati con il cotone, mentre quelli realizzati con
la lana acrilica le trovate sotto.

Consiglio: Primi di iniziare il lavoro, leggete tutta la spiegazione e guardate le foto per
essere sicuri di aver compreso tutto in modo corretto.

Materiale necessario:
100 g di cotone (1oog = 150mt)
Uncinetto di 6mm
Ago di lana
Forbice
Tabella delle abbreviazioni:
avv = avviare
cat = catenella
mb = maglia bassa
ma = maglia alta
mbss = maglia bassissima
lav= lavorare
punto X = saltare 1mb, lav 2 ma nelle prossime 2 mb, tornare alla mb saltata e lav 1 ma in
essa

Prima di iniziare a lavorare i guanti è importante che fate una prova con un campione.
Verificate se il campione viene uguale al mio. Se vi viene più piccolo, potete lavorare con
un uncinetto da 6,5mm, se vi viene più grande, usate un uncinetto da 5,5mm.

Campione:
Per il campione da 12cm x 12 cm ho lavorato come segue:
1) Avv 15 cat
2) lav 14 mb
3) 3 cat, 4 punti X, 1 ma
4-6) lav 14 mb
7) 3 cat, 4 punti X, 1 ma
8-10) lav 14 mb
11) 3 cat, 4 punti X, 1 ma
12)-13) lav 14 mb

Realizzazione dei guanti:

Avv 30 catenelle.
Si lavora in righe.

1) Voltare il lavoro, lav. 1 mb nella seconda cat dal uncinetto, lav 1 mb in ogni cat d'avvio
= totale
di 29 mb nella prima riga.
2) Voltare il lavoro, lav 3 cat, *saltare 1 mb, lav 2 ma nei prossimi 2 punti, tornare
nella mb
saltata e lav. 1 ma in essa* = punto X
Lav allo stesso modo per altre 8 volte il punto X, lav 1 ma nell'ultima mb rimasta.
3-5) 1 cat per voltare, 1 mb in ogni punto = 29 mb
6) come la riga 2) 3 cat, 9 punti X, 1 ma
7-9) 1 cat per voltare, 1 mb in ogni punto = 29 mb
10) come la riga 2) 3 cat, 9 punti X, 1 ma
11-13) 1 cat per voltare, 1 mb in ogni punto = 29 mb
14) come la riga 2) 3 cat, 9 punti X, 1 ma
15-17) 1 cat per voltare, 1 mb in ogni punto = 29 mb
A questo punto è bene controllare la misura, se avete un braccio molto snello oppure
se volete lavorare questi guanti per una bimba, potrebbe essere già sufficiente.

Appoggiate il lavoro sopra il tavolo, appoggiate la vostra mano come nella foto sul
tessuto, iniziando dal palmo della mano. Piegate il tessuto sopra la vostra mano e
vedete se si chiude.

Lavorare solo se necessario:

18) come la riga 2) 3 cat, 9 punti X, 1 ma
19) 1 cat per voltare, 29 mb
Nel mio caso, adesso il guanto si chiude, tirando leggermente il tessuto. Se nel vostro
caso ancora non dovesse essere sufficiente, aggiungete 2 righe di mb.
Il mio lavoro misura adesso 24cm x 19cm.
Chiusura del guanto:
Piegare il lavoro a metà, lav 1 cat per voltare, lav 4 mbss attraverso le mb dell'ultimo giro
e le cat d'avvio, unendo così il guanto,
lav 8 mbss solamente attraverso le maglie del ultimo giro per formare l'asola per il
pollice.
Saltare quindi le seguenti 8 cat d'avvio e continuare a lavorare 17 mbss ora attraverso le
mb dell'ultimo giro e le cat d'avvio, unendo così il guanto.
Girare il lavoro senza tagliare il filo.
Per le rifiniture lav un giro di mb tutto attorno per un totale di 26 mb. Chiudere con
1 mbss nella prima mb del giro. Passare il filo dal asola, stringere e tagliare il filo.

Agganciare il filo nel altro lato del guanto con 1 mbss.

*Saltare lo spazio di ca. 2 maglie, lav un gruppo da 5 mezze maglie alte nello stesso
punto,
saltare lo spazio di ca. 2 maglie e lav 1 mbss.*
Ripetere per altre 4 volte, per un totale di 5 gruppi arrivando così al punto
d'aggancio.
Passare il filo attraverso l'asola e stringere. Tagliare il filo e cucire tutti i fili al
interno del
guanto.
Lavorare il secondo guanto nello stesso modo.
Per il guanto con la lana acrilica:

Materiale occorrente:
100gr di lana acrilica (100gr = 300mt)
Uncinetto di 4,5mm
Forbici
Ago

Campione:
10x10cm = ripetere per 3 volte il motivo di *5 punti X + 3 righe a mb*

Realizzazione:
Si lavorano esattamente come i guanti di cotone, lavorando però con l'uncinetto nr.
4,5mm e avviando 46 cat.

Si chiudono i guanti dopo aver ripetuto per 7 righe il punto X.

Ogni riga da punti X è composta da 14 punti X.

Per la unione a mbss lav come per i guanti con il cotone, 4 mbss attraverso entrambi
tessuti, 8
mbss attraverso solamente tessuto per creare l'asola per il pollice, saltare le 8 cat
d'avvio e
continuare la unione dei tessuti proseguendo a mbss fino alla fine della riga. Girare
il guanto.

Rifiniture:
Lavorare un giro a mb tutto attorno al estremità inferiore del guanto di 36 mb,
chiudendo con
1 mbss nella prima maglia.
Lavorare un giro di archetti da 5 mezze ma nell'estremità superiore del guanto per
un totale
di 7 archetti.

Cucire tutti i fili rimasti e lavorare anche l'altro guanto nello stesso modo.
