Course Description
Reconstruction of complex facial defects is one of the most challenging problems in plastic
surgery. The surgical planning of these procedures is one of the critical factors for success.
The current educational activity has been designed to facilitate the understanding of
advanced head and neck reconstruction with focus on preoperative planning. The course will
introduce you to the latest Virtual Planning Systems, intraoperative flap design and decision
making in an interactive IT-setting through practical lectures and hands-on workshops.
