Honkai Impact 3 QTE Skills
Honkai Impact 3 QTE Skills
Honkai Impact 3 QTE Skills
how to use them effectively. This guide assumes basic knowledge of the various status
conditions in Honkai Impact 3, such as time slow and stun.
If you take a look at the skill list of a Valkyrie, you will usually find her QTE skill in the Special
attack section (There are some exceptions such as Valkyrie Ranger having it in the basic attack
section).
QTE skills are incredibly powerful skills that activate when you switch Valkyries in battle.
However, unlike regular switch skills, they will only activate when certain conditions are met, and
these conditions vary between valkyries. They do a lot of damage and often have a secondary
effect such as stun or freeze. Thus, using them effectively will greatly increase your damage
output in battle. Also, they look really cool.
How are QTE skills activated?
As I mentioned, the activation conditions vary between valkyries. Once you meet the condition,
the Valkyrie with the applicable QTE skill will start flashing, and switching to her will activate the
QTE skill. In this section, I will list the conditions required to active the QTE for all the farmable
Valkyries available at the launch of Honkai Impact 3, as well as a summary of the effect of the
skills. For more details you can read the skill descriptions in game. Some of the QTE skills are
not available until A or S rank, but most are accessible at lower ranks.

Battle Storm:

Chariot:

(Note: Time fracture and Time Slow are the same activation condition, Time Lock is not the
same as Time Slow, and Knockback does not count as Knockup)
All the valkyries can inflict some kind of status condition on enemies through their skills, which
are unlocked at various ranks. A general rule of thumb is that relying on Ultimates or percentage
chance skills to activate QTE is too infrequent to make the best use of QTE, thus using low
cooldown skills without need for SP such as evasion skills or combo attacks is more ideal. Some
weapon skills also inflict status conditions to trigger QTEs.
Below is a list of the different Valkyrie skills that cause status conditions:
Time Fracture/Slow:
1. Yamabuki Evasion Perfect Defense (blocking and then releasing block immediately)
2. Divine Prayer Ultimate (activation)
3. Triumph Ultimate (Within the field created)
4. White Comet Evasion
5. Crimson Impulse Evasion
6. Bladestrike Evasion
7. Battle Storm Evasion
8. Chariot Evasion
Freeze:
1. Snowy Sniper Evasion
2. Snowy Sniper Special attack QTE
Stun:
1. Divine Prayer Switch Skill (only when enemy is also airborne)
2. Yamabuki Special attack QTE
3. Triumph Evasion
4. White Comet Basic Attack (SSS only <10% chance)
5. White Comet Ultimate (on surrounding enemies)
6. White Comet Special attack switch Skill
7. White Comet Special attack QTE
8. Ranger Passive skill (after breaking enemy shield)
9. Ranger Special attack combo attack (if critical strike and has a <50% chance)
10. Ranger Ultimate
11. Battle Storm Passive (<10% chance)
12. Battle Storm Ultimate (SSS only)
13. Chariot Ultimate
Paralyze:
1. Scarlet Fusion Evasion (when attacking after evasion)
2. Scarlet Fusion Special attack QTE (both paralyze and airborne)
3. Shadow Dash Ultimate (when clone disappears)
Airborne:
1. Divine Prayer Special attack Combo skill
2. Divine Prayer Evasion
3. Yamabuki Passive Skill (When own Shield Breaks)
4. Scarlet Fusion Special Attack charge attack
5. Scarlet Fusion Special attack switch skill
6. Scarlet Fusion Special attack QTE
7. White comet special attack combo skill
8. Crimson Impulse Special Attack Combo Skill
9. Shadow Dash Special Attack Combo Skill
10. Shadow Dash Special Attack QTE
11. Battle Storm Ultimate
12. Chariot special skill QTE
Note: Some large enemies are not easily knocked airborne by physical attacks (including combo
and charge attacks), but evasion skills and float skills will cause them to go airborne.
1. Start with a Valkyrie that has a skill or multiple skills that offer reliable delivery of status
conditions onto enemies and/or equip them with a weapon with the skill.
2. Based on the status condition(s) your first Valkyrie can inflict, choose a second valkyrie
whose QTE skill activates off of it.
3. Optional: If your second Valkyrie’s QTE skill gives the enemy a status condition, pick a
third Valkyrie whose QTE skill activates off that condition.
You can experiment with different combinations of valkyries and find out what works well for
you. Also consider other elements of team balance such as having a blend of healing and
damage.
Divine Prayer, Snowy Sniper, Valkyrie Ranger (DP or SS leader skill for elemental damage
boost or cooldown reduction of evasion skills)
I use Divine Prayer’s evasion skill to make an attacking enemy airborne, then combo attack for
some damage before switching to Snowy Sniper’s QTE to freeze enemies. I have enough time
to charge and fire an attack before switching to Ranger’s QTE, which ends my QTE chain.
Mei: Hopefully putting Kiana and Bronya together will help them get along a little better…

Scarlet Fusion, Crimson Impulse, Battle Storm (Scarlet Fusion leader skill for switch skill
damage boost)
I use Crimson Impulse’s Evasion skill to activate time fracture, then switch to Scarlet Fusion’s
QTE to paralyze into a switch to Battle Storm’s QTE.
I can also start with Battle Storm’s Evasion Skill to activate time slow into Scarlet Fusion’s QTE
knockup and finally Crimson Impulse’s QTE skill.
