INVITATION TO ACADEMICIANS TO SUBMIT E-LEARNING MATERIALS

The pandemic COVIOD-19 has almost locked down our routine academic
activities such as teaching-learning, evaluation and research at all levels of education across the
globe. In spite of the indomitable efforts taken by the academic community across the world using the
Information and Communication Technologies to bring the student community into usual
academic environment, it is difficult to reach them and unable to compensate their academic
loss. Therefore, to meet such challenges and to help the larger section of students studying in
our University and also in our affiliated Colleges of Education, the IQAC Unit of Tamil Nadu
Teachers Education University has initiated the process to create a Repository of E-Learning
Materials in the University portal, inviting e-learning materials prepared and developed by
academicians from the faculties of various University Departments of Education and also
from Colleges of Education.

Therefore, it is informed that the academicians who are interested to contribute e-learning

materials for creating a repository of e-learning materials for the ongoing full-time B.Ed / M.Ed /

B.Sc.B.Ed / B.A. B.Ed programmes as per the existing syllabus (effective from the Academic Year

2016-2017 and it can be accessed from the University website: www.tnteu.ac.in) can register

themselves in the mail id (tnteuiqac@gmail.com) of the IQAC Unit of the University.

The authors of the e-learning materials will be duly recognised by awarding a Certificate of
Appreciation and a Citation for each accepted e-learning material
and the same may be distributed to them in a function/event organized by the IQAC Unit of
the University.
Type of E-Learning Materials Expected

Audio Lectures

A clip of minimum 15 minutes and maximum of 30 minutes can be recorded.


Learning Objectives and Learning Outcomes should be specified.
Lectures can be recorded and link should be shared. It should be edited before
submission for noise/any other distractions. Voice should be clear and audible.

Video Lectures

A clip of minimum 15 minutes and maximum of 30 minutes can be recorded. Self


introduction and the topic should be included. Learning Objectives and Learning
Outcomes should be specified. It should be in blended mode (i.e. presence of the
teacher in a corner while presenting the text). It should be edited before
submission for noise/any other distractions. Voice should be clear and audible.

Powerpoint Presentation
(PPT)

The first slide should have the Name, Designation, Address of the Organization,
and Topic to be covered. There should be a minimum of 15 slides and maximum
of 30 slides for each PPT. Slides should not be overloaded. Written material may be
provided for support. Pictures and other graphics can be used. Different colours
can be used. Suggestive readings may be provided in the last slide in APA style.
General Guidelines to Authors

1. A covering letter describing the Name, Designation, Address of the
Orgnization, Topic of the content, and a Declaration (will be provided
by the IQAC, TNTEU) should be submitted.

2. The e-learning materials should have only single author and combined
work will not be accepted.
3. An author can submit any number of e-learning materials preferably on
the subject(s) they are teaching/experts.

4. The e-learning materials can be submitted either in English or Tamil


version.
5. Each e-learning material should cover one topic related to the unit
/syllabus.
6. It is advised to provide the content with examples rather than merely
reproducing the bookish information.

7. At the end of each presentation, a summary should be given.

8. The content should be grammatically and typographically error free.

9. Plagiarism of the content/material should be self-checked as per the


UGC norms and a certificate be submitted.

10. The content should be in pdf with 1.5 line spacing, 12 font size, and
Times New Roman.

11. The IQAC Unit of our University is not responsible for the contents/
information provided in the e-learning materials by the authors and the
concerned author alone will be held responsible for the contents/
information submitted by him/her.
12. The e-learning materials submitted by the authors will be exhaustively
reviewed and approved by a duly constituted expert committee by the
authorities of our University and the expert committee's decision is final.
Only the expert committee approved materials will be uploaded in the
University portal.

13. The e-learning materials can be submitted till 15.06.2020. For further
