Clerk's Office Reopening 5.29.20
On June 1, 2020 the Lewis County Clerk’s office will be reopening to in-person
transactions with a few transactions that will be limited to an appointment and not just a
walk-in basis. Office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Pistol hours will remain 9:00 am –
3:30 pm. DMV WILL NOT BE OPENING TO IN-PERSON TRANSACTION AT THIS TIME
Asked to sign-in
Be provided a mask if you don’t have one
May be subject to a temperature check
In the Lewis County Clerk’s office we will be observing social distancing, and will have
limited seating for those who may have to wait while we process other walk-in
transactions. Our online records research will be limited to 2 computers, and only 2
seats will be available to those that wish to do work on the work station in the records
room.
We are expecting a high volume of calls, walk-ins, and other transactions that the Lewis
County Clerk’s office has been performing daily through the COVID 19 event. I ask you
to please plan accordingly, and be prepared for wait times and delays. I’m also asking
everyone to be patient, and respect the temporary limitations that we have at this time.
My goal is to ensure the health and safety of the Lewis County Clerk’s office staff, our
customers, and the other departments that are located in the Lewis County Court
House. AGAIN DMV WILL NOT BE REOPENING TO IN-PERSON TRANSACTIONS AT
THIS TIME
