Dear Engr. Norbe,

This message transmits the gathering's course prerequisite entitled "Structure of _MW Diesel
Power Plant" which is set to a strong learning establishment on our calling as a designer which
unquestionably gives of what we can broaden a lot further, and increase further seeing, explicitly in
power plant structure. Doing this prerequisite will help us in the business sooner rather than later to
build up our abilities in the field of designing.

Sincerely,a

motivation, direction, and help with achieving this plan venture.

Above all else, we might want to thank our God Almighty who consistently aides and light our way in our
examination, without Him, we can do nothing on the planet. For all the unlimited gifts He showered upon us and
for the quality he had given unto us to complete this task in spite of the obstructions that we confronted.

Furthermore is our family, who is consistently there adjacent to us in the midst of disappointments. Much obliged
to you for helping us every way under the sun and making us lucky at some random second. We will always
remember them for being an inspiration and support as we obstacle all the obstructions during those long periods of
working.

In conclusion, our genial and well disposed teacher in Power Plant Engineering that is none other done Engr. Mario
Regino Norbe for significant direction and your readiness to persuade us contributes colossally to complete this
structure venture. Much thanks to you for having this task as one of your necessities in your course. It truly causes
us, the understudies, to sharpen our expertise and set a basis in our future undertaking.

INTRODUCTION

ENERGY is being utilized in numerous things. There such utilization of the various kinds of vitality in
our ordinary living. One genuine case of the significant use of the term mechanical and electrical vitality
is the diesel power plant. The force plant supplies the electrical vitality to various sorts of buyer by
methods for the mechanical vitality created by the motor.

The diesel motor is an inside ignition motor that utilizes the warmth of pressure to start and consume the
fuel that has been infused into the burning chamber. The diesel motor has the most noteworthy warm
productivity of any standard inside or outer ignition motor because of its high pressure proportion and
characteristic lean consume which empowers heat dispersal by the abundance air. A little proficiency
misfortune is likewise stayed away from contrasted with two-stroke non-direct-infusion gas motors since
unburnt fuel is absent at valve cover and in this manner no fuel goes straightforwardly from the
admission/infusion to the fumes.

In diesel power plant, there are various sorts of material that are required so as to deliver the electric
vitality. There is the diesel motor, motor turning over framework including air blower and beginning air
tank, fuel, air consumption framework that used to expel dust from the approaching air and the siphons,
fumes framework, motor cooling framework to keep the temperature at the sensible level, and motor
grease framework to decrease contact and wear of motor parts, for example, chamber dividers and
cylinder.

Real Estate Cost

Muñoz, Nueva Ecija is considered a provincial land. Land cost in the area is estimated to
be ₱400-₱600/m^2 and the estimated area of the power plant is to be 211,696.16 m^2.

Real Estate Cost = (₱500/m^2) × 211,696.16m^2 = ₱ 105,848,080.00

Fuel and Lubricating Oil Cost

Considering these situations, the breakeven year can be computed
Interest Rate = 4.5%
Depreciation Rate = 8.24%
Contingency Principal Rate = 10%

INCOME
LCOE for diesel engine = 250$/MWh
Energy Produced = 285247 kwh/day = 104115.155 MWh/year

Total Income = (LCOE) x (Energy Produced per Year) = (250) x (104115.155)

Total Income = 26,028,788.75 $/year = 1,301,439,438 Php/year

TOTAL CAPITAL COST

Total Capital Cost = Machine and Equipment + Foundation + Land + O&M
Total Capital Cost = 6,260,000 + 217,264.4 + 105,848,080 + 10,450,620,783
Total Capital Cost = 10,562,946,127 Php

CONSIDERING A 10% CONTINGENCY COST

Total Capital Cost = 11,619,240,740 Php

SALVAGE VALUE
Salvage after 25 years
Total Machine and Equipment Cost = 6,260,000 Php
Depreciation rate = 8.24%

S = 729, 305.44

Replacement Cost = Php 886,433.4

CAPITALIZED COST
Capitalized Cost = Total Investment + Replacement Cost

Capitalized Cost = 11,620,127,173 Php

BREAKEVEN YEAR

P = 11,620,127,173 Php
A = 1,301,439,438 Php
I = 4.50%

Number of years to Breakeven = 11.673 years

Rate of Return = (1,301,439,438 / 11,620,127,173) * 100% =% 11.2%

Rate of Return = 11.2%
