Detailed Lesson Plan in Technology and Livelihood Education

Baking

I.Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. Identify the tools and ingredients used in preparing the No Bake
Brownies.
b. Demonstrate how to make a No Bake Brownies.
c. Follow correct procedure in making the No Bake Brownies and observe
safety and sanitation.
d. Value the importance of knowing how to make a No Bake Brownies.

But it’s not any kind of
brownies where brownies
lovers bake, because for
today we will make a No
Bake Brownies.
 Nowadays No Bake Desserts
have become a popular
trend.Not only because it
taste almost or as delicious
as those desserts that are
bake but more importantly it
is convenient, take for
example not most household
have an oven. Another one
is that you can make your
own dessert yourselves and
have as much as you want
you don’t have to buy it in a
bakery just to have a taste
of it. You can even make it
as business for extra
income/allowance.

 This morning I will show you


how to make a No Bake
Brownies.

 So here are the lists of what


of what we need to make a
delicious dessert.

Ingredients:
 1 cup all-purpose flour
 ½ cup cocoa powder
 ¼ cup white sugar
 1 ¾ cup evaporated milk
 ¼ cup butter/margarine
 1/8 tsp. coffee powder
 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
 1 tbsp. peanuts(chopped)
 ½ cup chocolate
bar(chopped)
Tools:
 Cooking Pan
 Baking Pan
 Flat Ladle/Rubber Scrapper
 Mixing Bowl

 Before we proceed to baking


here are some important
reminders while making No
Bake Brownies.

 May I request everybody to Important Reminders:

3. WASH your hands properly.
4. WEAR complete working outfit.
5. OBSERVE proper handling of
tools to avoid accidents.

 Since we now know the


ingredients, tools as well as
the important reminders, let
us now proceed in making
the No Bake Brownies by
following the procedure.

 Again may I request Procedure:

procedure?  In a heated pan pour the
evaporated milk.
 Put the butter stir it until it melts
then add the vanilla extract.
 Next put the sugar, let it melt
together with the mixture.
 Add some coffee powder.
 Stir the mixture for about 2-3
minutes.
 Then pour the sifted flour and
cocoa powder.
 Stir them until it become a fudgy
mixture.
 Put the mixture into the baking
pan and flatten it. Set aside.
 For the frosting, melt the flat tops
chocolate using the steam from
the pan.
 Put some evaporated milk and stir
them together.
 Pour the finished frosting and
spread it at top.
 Put some chopped peanuts for
garnishing.
 Finally, let it cool in the fridge.

 And so I will now start


making a No Bake Brownies.

ask you a question.

important to measure the
ingredients appropriately?

 It is important to have the


correct measurement for the
ingredients so that the
result of your brownies will
be good. It will not be too
much or too little in flavour
or appearance and just as
we said it “Sakto Lang”.That
is how making a dessert is,
you should have the exact
amount as the given recipe
to get the desired result.

 As I’ve said before since you


can make it yourselves you
don’t have to buy it in a
bakery, you can make it for
your love ones during
special occasions and most
importantly you can also
start a business.

 Now it’s your turn to make a


No Bake Brownies.

 You will be group into two.


Row 1 will be the group one
and row to will be the group
two.

 On your side there are


trays, one for each group. It
already contains the
ingredients you will need.

 But wait there’s more. Your


finish product will be
evaluated by each group
using this rubric.

 Get your groups tray and
start making your own
brownies. And please pay
attention to the earlier
“Important Reminders”
while working.

 I will give you 15 minutes to


finish your work.
