“Lincoln Velasquez is an apprentice of a well-known carpenter named Jack E. Bagbaga. This

day, he was advised to buy some tools and materials in the Adorable Shop located at the
Sesame Street. The tools and materials were listed in a small sheet of paper. These tools will be
used to build the superyacht of Manny Pacquiao. So apparently, it is a big project. “Can you
help Lincoln Velasquez identify these tools and materials so that he will not be scolded by his
boss rather buy the right tools and materials? Below is the list of the materials and tools
needed to buy.

1. This is a powdered substance which when mixed with water acts as a binder of aggregate.
2. This is a cut timber from a wood that is to be used for building, construction, paper, or other
similar purposes.
3. This is made of metal and is used for fastening woods.
4. This is called coarse aggregate.
5. This is a thin cross-laminated sheet of wood.
6. This is fine tiny gritty, a substance found in the shore and desert.
7. This is used to test the squareness of a stock.
8. This is a tool used in checking vertical and horizontal positions.
9. This is used for measuring long distances.
10. This is an iron bar with a flattened end, used as a lever.

Somehow, Lincoln Velasquez was able to buy all the tools and materials assigned by his boss
correctly. Afterward, they packed all their things and went to where the superyacht of Manny
Pacquiao be built. Upon arrival at their destination, Jack E. Bagbaga talked and agreed with
the architect, Raymund Patricio. Later, they already started building the superyacht. Lincoln
Velasquez asked his boss what should he do next? So Jack E. Bagbaga assigned Lincoln
Velasquez to check the six faces of the lumber. Lincoln Velasquez hurriedly went to where
these lumbers are and started checking the six faces of the lumber. With another sheet of
paper that he received from his boss, Lincoln Velasquez is not familiar with the six faces of a

Lincoln Velasquez, also known as Cong, performed his job yesterday very well. So the next day,
he was assigned again for a new task. He was tasked by his boss to list down the three linear
measurements obtained from the six faces of a lumber. Cong doesn’t know these things so he
is now asking your help again. What are the three linear measurements obtained from the six

Jack E. Bagbaga commended Cong for performing very well in their job site. So they made a
toast and celebrated his performance with a Jack Daniels drink. With just a three-shot of that
drink, Cong got drunk, laid his arm to his boss’ shoulder, and started asking him how to
measure the size of a lumber. His boss laughed vividly and realized that Cong has a lot of
things to learn. So before he answers the question, he asked Cong first several questions.

Lincoln Velasquez was able to answer his boss’ questions. The moment his boss’ started
clapping and cheering him, he passed out. Jack E. Bagbaga carried Cong to his room and leave
a note about the job he could do tomorrow once he wakes up. A very long hours later, Cong
woke up and noticed a note beside his bed. He started reading this note. The note says, “Cong,
in case you read this note, please wash your face for we put a lot of charcoal on it.
Change your pants as well because you are wearing a baby diaper XL size. Don’t run
straight here. You will look so funny and couldn’t help but to laugh at you. Another
thing, please remember the DO’s and DON’T”s in handling measuring
instruments/tools. It was written on this note too.” After he read the note from his stupid
boss, he hurriedly took a bath and changed his outfit. However, after a while, Cong lost his
note. He suddenly forgot his task that was written on the note. Can you help Cong remembers

Hurray! Cong performed a great job day by day. His boss assured his promotion once their
project is done. So Cong built his dedication, determination, and hard work to impress his boss
and entertain him at the same time. Cong is a funny apprentice, yet so serious in terms of his
work. He never had a dull moment. He always makes his day so colorful that even his boss and
workmates were being affected. Cong’s happiness is contagious. So for his final task, he was
assigned to calculate the board foot of lumber while the Thickness, Width, and Length was
given.
Cong was shocked and started to feel anxious because he doesn’t know how to calculate it. Do
you want to help Cong finish his final task? He badly needs your help so he could get his
promotion and reach his goal in life.
