ORDER REVOKING BOND

This matter having come before the Court on Motion of the Office of the

Hinds County District Attorney. The Court having considered the arguments by

Michael Henry, attorney for Defendant and by the State of Mississippi finds as

follows:

1. That Kemarshon Cassity was released on bond for uttering a forgery

with a date of offense of March 5, 2019.

2. That on March 23, 2020, the Defendant was arrested and charged with

two counts of Aggravated Assault. The two counts of Aggravated

Assault occurred at or near 407 S. Congress or the Westin Hotel in the

First Judicial District of Hinds County, Mississippi. The Defendant

engaged in behavior that makes him a special threat and danger to the

community.

3. The Court finds that the Defendant at the time of the arrest for the

crime of Aggravated Assault (two counts) that he was out on bond on

prior criminal charge of Uttering a Forgery before this Court in the

instant matter.

The Court hereby revokes all prior bonds and remands the defendant to

the custody of the Hinds County Sheriff to be held until such time as cases are

finally resolved.

MOTION TO REVOKE BOND

COMES NOW the State of Mississippi by and through the office of the Hinds

County District Attorney and requests this Honorable Court to revoke bond for the

Defendant, in the above-captioned case and in support thereof the State would show the

following, to wit:

1. On or about the 19th day of March 2019, the Defendant was charged with

Uttering a Forged Instrument in violation of Mississippi Code Ann.

2. Defendant was later arrested on April 7, 2020 and charged with two counts

of Aggravated Assault offenses that are punishable by more than five (5) years.

WHEREFORE, premises considered, the State respectfully requests this

Honorable Court to revoke bond in this case in accordance with Article 3 § 29(2) of

the Mississippi Constitution and order that the Defendant be detained without bond

pending resolution of the charges against him.
