Policymaking according to Collins English dictionary is formulation of ideas or plans that are used by an
organization or government as a basis for making decisions.

This article summarizes the lessons and approaches from EBP used by UK government. It discusses the
challenges facing EBP and suggest some solution to apply these approaches in developing countries.

Evidence Based health policy making is essential for making decision using rational analysis and
available evidence to identify more effective, cost effective interventions to achieve the policy goals

advertisements on TVs and radios. By 1972 a new research was published on the consequences of
smoking on second hand smokers. This was followed by banning smoking in public
