b. During two weeks in New York in 1899, young orphan boys who bought and
resold newspapers, called newsboys, protested by strike against the price increase
implemented by two large newspapers, their action unintentionally caused a
movement against child labour that helped create and eventually enforce laws
against it.

a. The newsboys made their voices heard by spreading their cause and making
people hear it
b. The boys rallied together in crowds, shouting at passerbyers, to make everyone
