Stat Resource Kit for Oracle E-Business Upgrade and Installation Notes
Version 1.4
INTRODUCTION
You can extend the set of Oracle E-Business Setup object types that are already supported by Stat. This
resource kit contains the available packages that extend the setup object types. The packages organize
the extended setup object types into logical groups, primarily by Oracle E-Business application, and are
separately installable. This document lists the object types included in each package and provides
upgrade and installation instructions.
Quest will continue adding support for additional applications in the future and the resource kit will be
updated as new object types are made available.
Note: You can upgrade to Resource Kit 1.4 from version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3.
Do not upgrade to Resource Kit 1.2 until you have upgraded to Stat 5.3.2 or higher. Stat 5.3.2
contains a schema change that supports the setup objects types included in Resource Kit 1.2.
Do not upgrade to Resource Kit 1.3 until you have upgraded to Stat 5.6.0 or higher. Stat 5.6.0
contains a schema change that supports the setup objects types included in Resource Kit 1.3.

UPGRADE/INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The scripts supplied in this version of the Resource Kit are used for both installation and upgrade. You
can install all the packages in the Stat Resource Kit for Oracle E-Business, or just the ones you want.
To upgrade the packages you installed from version 1.0 or 1.1 of the Resource Kit, run the appropriate
v1.2, v1.3, or v1.4 scripts following the steps below.
Note: Before upgrading or installing the Resource Kit, be aware of the following:
Do not upgrade to Resource Kit 1.2 until you have upgraded to Stat 5.3.2 or higher. Do not upgrade to Resource Kit 1.3
until you have upgraded to Stat 5.6.0 or higher.
The setup object types included in these packages are based on those existing in the Oracle E-Business Suite v11.5.10
and V12.1.x. If you are managing an earlier version and install a setup object type into Stat that does not exist in your
Oracle E-Business Suite instance, the object type will be visible in Stat but no objects will be found or displayed.
For the AP Package object type, AP Hold and Release Codes , there is an error in the Oracle-provided LCT file which
creates problems when archiving and migrating. For information on correcting the LCT file, contact Quest Support.
Certain setup object types use a sequence ID as their primary key, which may vary between environments. For this
reason, it is recommended that you modify these object types always within the same environment. For a list of affected
object types, see the following section, “Sequence Affected Object Types”.
After upgrading/installing a package, individual setup object types can be inactivated through the object
type maintenance screens.
1 Unzip the StatRK14.zip file and extract the script for each product you would like to
upgrade/install to any server with SQLNet connectivity to the Stat Repository. The script name
includes the product code.
For example:
3 Re-start each Oracle Agent. This allows the agent(s) to re-cache object type data.
