PREFACE

If content was food, trust me to be your chef,

Variety is the spice of life but love is like salt.

I cannot cook without salt so enjoy your meal.

There is enough to go round, a buffet service.

Sit down, relax and let Sirius do the cooking.

Title: Immiscible

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Love hardly exists or maybe it doesn’t.

Chance after chance still unfulfilled.
With you, I thought it would be different.
But here we are,
on two separate ends of this bridge we refused to cross.
Always drawn back together by powerful sex with,
our favourite Blues playing in the background.
Yet kept apart by our character differences.
What happened to us?
I remember, I was never enough for you...
...or maybe you weren’t for me.
No matter how hard we tried,
it just couldn’t work.
Like oil and water,
we remained immiscible..

-Sirius.
Title: Wanted

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

I want you to crave my presence.

Desire me,
like Bathsheba on King David’s bed
ravishing my nudity in your imagine.
Shower me with your love,
emotions pouring down heavily from you,
like rain in July
Prove to me how priceless a jewel I am,
not worthy of your possession,
like gold and diamonds in a pirate’s hand
And I’ll stay with you forever,
Sharing in your joy and sorrows,
like your better half
Is that too much to ask?
All I want is,
To feel wanted.

-Sirius.
Title: I Saw Her

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Walking majestically,

She passed me.

Her cologne sticking to my body and,

Making my thoughts ravage wildly.

Her smile; the most captivating.

Hair like a crown,

I’m quite sure she's royalty.

Now I wish it were a dream.

Because only then can I speak boldly.

I hope I’d see her again.

I saw her again

Seated gloriously, or maybe in my head.

I caught the smile again.

Her dentition, immaculate.

It's fate and I must say something.

Sitting next to her,

Trying to speak but found no words

Yet didn’t stop staring.

She’s prettier than my thoughts made her.

Finally I spoke words and no regrets.

This maybe the beginning of life's best love story.

Title: My Feelings

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

The feelings grow strong,

The attraction even stronger.

It's special the way my heart beats for you,

Amazing the way my thoughts undress you.

I want to love you naked,

Yet I prefer your graciousness when clothed.

I don't want all these to be for a while.

Let love and time make it forever.

-Sirius.
Title: My Model

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Click! Click!!
The sound of my camera,
capturing your beauty in one shot,
Storing images of you in different frames.
Or maybe it’s your full hair,
Attracting me like nails to magnet,
giving me more successes than fails.

Strike that pose darling!

A day with you and you get me.
A "Hey" from you sparks up the creative in me.
Pictures of you blessing me.
Call me so my face brightens.
At your stance,
my lenses bow to your black glory and clears.
I’m sure I love you or so my heart tells.

-Sirius.
Title: Dance with Me

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Hold my hands, one step at a time.

Let us move in harmony like the sea tides,
With love in the air,
And me stroking your hair,
We would move our feet, while I whisper in your ear.
Why dance alone when you can dance with me?

-Sirius.
Title: Amazing

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

A day without you is a garden with no flowers, meaningless.

My muse, a fountain of inspiration.
Angel of my life, without wings, making each day pretty.
Zero worries when thoughts of you fill my pure mind.
Intelligently beautiful, permit me to stare while I listen.
Never caught wanting, reprieving me of life’s pain.
Gazillion reasons are why I’d choose you.

Because only the first letters could spell how AMAZING you are.

-Sirius.
Title: You and Me

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

You fight this
I sit and deliberately watch you wrestle every piece of your
being...
I sit and watch you start a war...
It’s your head, your heart, your body...
In desperate need for freedom
I see you try to run
In your mind’s eye, I see this one question
What can you do other than fall in love with me?
I think I can help...I have an idea
Stay, pray, play, laugh, cry , smile
And don’t forget to kiss me
Cause Baby I’ll do the same,
Promise to put you first, second after God
The intensity of our feelings
Like a magnet pulls us right back no matter where we hide
We don’t have our freedom threatened, we already lost it the
minute we looked into each other’s eyes
Stronger than our desire for freedom,
Is our love for one another
Cause Your love for me, that’s your cage
And my love for you, my cage

Forever me and you, or better still

Forever YOU and ME.

-Sirius.
Title: I can't

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

She asked,
"Why don’t you love me?"
It is because I actually can’t.
No matter how hard I tried,
I stay distant.
Wanting to empty my soul into yours,
knowing you had already done same...
Is another level of commitment,
one I wasn’t even ready for.
I’d say NO because I’m incapable.
Maybe it’s the mistrust in my veins like blood.
My heart is recumbent and can’t love you more.
Gave my heart once,
It was severed like John’s head on Herodias’ platter.
Now I’m love-dead and can’t love you more.

-Sirius
Title: Every time

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Every time I open a book

I write all I’ll do for you
An unending list of surprises and promises
Every time I smile
It’s because I’m staring at your picture
"What a resonating beauty"
Every time I think of you
Words like ink pour out on my paper
My emotions truly revealed.
Every time I need a reason to love you
It’s cause I’m going to die
So I want to keep loving you till then.

-Sirius.
Title: Love That Hurts

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

If I knew I wasn’t going to be loved by you,

I would never have prayed to meet you.
Your decision not to love me too,
Hurts me, bleeds me and kills me too.
Now I cant stop thinking about you,
Neither am I getting better at forgetting you.

First, your black beauty left an image in my head.

Later, your voice rang melody in my ear.
Over time, my heart starting beating faster around you.
Recurrently, my thoughts were mostly about you, so were my
dreams.
And now, I’m helplessly intoxicated by you.

Truth is, maybe I’m fighting too much,

Or you want something I cannot offer.
Maybe I can never be enough,
Probably I’m not fighting hard enough.
But I am tired.
And I want to stop feeling what I feel for you,
I want to feel nothing for you.

-Sirius.
Title: Another Chance

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Life's punches I took

Because I had to prove to you

That I deserve a rerun,

A second go at it.

I may have messed up the first time, but…

Another chance it is.

To love you right, treat you nice

And lose you not.

A new chapter in our lives,

Let’s write it together this time,

Away from the world's interference.

All I want now is to do right by you,

Because I love you,

So much I think I’d die for you.

-Sirius.
Title: Fantasy

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

I want to hold your hands,

Walking in parks under the Summer sun.

I want to sit with you,

Sipping lattes in late night coffee shops.

I want to lie by your side,

Star gazing on cold grass at midnight.

I want to kiss you,

Under the mistletoe on Christmas.

I want to play with you,

Building a snowman with Winter's snow.

I want to chill with you,

Watching Netflix yet lost in the colours of your eyes.

I want to make love to you,

Passionately, wrapped in your warmth.

I want to stop fantasizing about you,

There is nothing I want more than for us to be true.

-Sirius.
Title: Stay

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

I look at you, maybe stare,

You are God's perfect clay.

I argue you took more than normal to make,

Maybe its hearsay.

I can hear only your name,

When the strings of my heart play.

My feelings would pervade your entire being,

Just if you stay.

You stopped loving me but,

Please I promise to find a way.

Allow me to rekindle that fire,

And keep it burning everyday.

Just don't leave me for dead,

Cuz that's what I’d be if you go away.

-Sirius.
Title: Flawa

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Flawa,

Set me free from the bondage I feel loving you.

I’m scared, so much pain inside me.

So much that…

When it rains, I wish the waters could wash my feelings.

When the thunder strikes, it should strike the heart- part

where you reside.

Flawa,

I’m yet to heal from your rejection.

Maybe I should swallow this pill and cure my depression.

So much that,

It could be an overdose of you in my thoughts still.

Staying strong only to find out you are my greatest weakness.

-Sirius
Title: Lost

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

I’m losing my mind,

Already lost my heart to you.

In a war that trapped my emotions.

My heart is failing,

Already failed at hating you.

I don't mind “moving fast",

As long as I get you to see me in your future.

I’m scared how I love you

Because I lost myself staring at your ugliest picture.

-Sirius.
Title: Do For You

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Do you love movies?

I’d probably download one every day for you.

I know you love music,

We would listen to your favourite songs together.

Best sport? Basketball or football?

I’m a sports person, lets watch games together participating too.

Write down your dos and don’ts,

I’ll be careful not to mess with you.

There are a million and one things I would and could do for
you.

Trust me these lines wouldn’t do for what I could do for you.

-Sirius.
Title: My Love

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

I’m treading on unsafe paths,

By the choices I make with you.

Love like hair strands,

locked never to be separated from you.

This love seems non-existing,

But I’ll give it a chance with you.

Even when I’m hurt,

You keep me smiling.

Loving you is infinite,

There is no stopping.

No matter the obstacles we face,

I want to keep experiencing.

This is the love I dream of,

Now by my side.

I’m not letting go.

My grip is tight as ever

You are my true love

Letting me live life to its fullest.

-Sirius.
Title: Divine

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Destiny brings you my path

Met you, loved you right there.

They call it love at first sight over here’

Now it gets prettier…

Beautiful, the kind that mends.

That black girl magic, cuts me every time,

Ruins my emotions, my feelings all over the place.

Can’t control, friends say I’ve lost control,

Now its difficult to let go.

Slowly tearing me apart.

What do I do? Scream…

It’s more about what your love is doing to me.

This is a flat out cry for help

Everything seems unreal

Actually it is… some what Divine.

-Sirius.
Title: A letter to a girl I loved

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Meena,

You are beautiful beyond doubts,

But your heart wasn’t meant for me, it had to go south.

Into the arms of him who knows not all your flaws.

But because he’s fair and built, you took all the falls.

Once upon a time,

I had you close to me than ever.

Waited for Cupid to strike your heart,

I guess she wasn’t so good an archer.

Can’t stop imagining you on his bed,

All cuddled up, looking into each other’s eyes.

Your mind lost in the softness of his lips,

His hands, in the wetness of your vagina.

Worse for me is the thought

That it could have been me.

Except that I was never the one you wanted.

I guess being accepted became Greek Tuesday to me

-Sirius.
Title: Love’s Frequency

Written by: Ikechukwu Noble

Lost love?

It’s not over yet,

Don’t ever think that way.

Not like I used to, you may never find it unless,

You realize that we are like radio stations with,

Different frequencies waiting for the right tuner.

When the wrong one is there, it’s never clear.

Peace is when you understand this,

Your love stories may fail but only because,

They are on the wrong frequency.

-Sirius.
